Exclusive New Product Now Available: Making Spirits Bright!
Hi friends! I’m very excited to share our NEW Exclusive Holiday product release with you, Making Spirits Bright!
We love providing you with options to use in creating something homemade for special seasons such as Halloween, Christmas… or any winter Holidays you celebrate! With our newest collection—from adorable snowmen and reindeer, to festive pumpkins and ghosts—we hope we spark your handmade-joy and find many items to love!
This Making Spirits Bright release includes a Watercolor Dot Card designed for you by Shari Carroll and Debby Hughes These talented women came together to choose colors that they think work beautifully for your Holiday-themed or winter watercoloring. Check out the new palette of colors selected by Yana Smakula as well. These Dot Cards are a great way to play and experiment with different colors before investing in the full tubes of watercolors.
To deliver all of the fun handmade cards you’ll be making over the Holidays, our new woodgrain envelopes have a self-sealing closure and are available in 3 colors: White, Walnut Brown, and Khaki. Suzy’s Watercolor Cards continue to be a customer favorite and must-have for paper crafters! Be sure to try Suzy’s Gratitude cards with one of our Daniel Smith watercolor palettes for fun results! We also released a gorgeous array of Sequin mixes to top off your most-festive art this season!
Our Picture Book series of wafer dies have been wildly popular! So…. we created more of these precious dies that are perfect for the season. The newest set of these Picture Book dies are a bit larger than the ones we’ve released previously; we believe this will help if you want to make them the focal point of your cards! I can’t wait to see what our inspiration team is making with these in the blog hop for you later today and tomorrow (blog hops start here on the Simon blog).
Of course this release has stamps, too! Make special note that the Center Cut Kaleidoscope cling stamp has a center that can be easily removed to highlight a sentiment … or for creating other cool effects, too! Our playful Fa la la has the most-perfect coordinating word die for maximum creative possibilities! And finally, the delicate Stained Glass Greetings is a perfect set for both embossing and watercoloring. Again, I CANNOT wait to see the inspiration that designers have in store for us. I purposely wait until the blog hops to be surprised and delighted with their work!
Be sure to visit our Simon Brand galleries! We populate these to inspire you with lots of ideas for using our latest products! We also encourage you to share what you’re working on by linking your art into the gallery!
Want even MORE inspiration? Stay tuned for a BLOG HOP this afternoon at 12 noon EDT and another blog hop tomorrow at 8am EDT!

Gerda Steiner Designs: Llama Tell You!
Hi friends! Happy hump day and WELCOME to our blog! Rather you’re joining for the first time, or you’re an avid reader… we appreciate you stopping by! Please welcome special first time guest designer Therese Calvird as a guest on our blog! She’s been cardmaking with this SUPER cute stamp and die set from Gerda Steiner Designs called Llama Tell You. Read on for more information, and enjoy!
Hi, it’s Therese here with a card and video using the Llama Tell You stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs. Today I decided to create my own fun Llama scene. So, I started with a Distress Oxide background and created some hand drawn mountains and grassy fields, somewhere that I thought my Llama’s would be happy. And seriously these guys look soo happy!
I did some simple Copic coloring and used the matching dies to cut out the images, which always makes life so easy. But I thought it would also be fun to add some ‘snow marker’ wool to the images and then all that was left to do was frame the scene with a white panel and white heat emboss my sentiment on a handmade black cardstock speech bubble.
I decided to film as I created and you can watch the whole process here at Youtube.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, I’ve had a blast!
