Altenew February 2018 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Thank you for joining us as we celebrate the Altenew February release as part of their blog hop. If you’ve come from Virginia Lu’s blog, then you’re in the right place!
I’ve created a card using the Wings of Hope stamps and coordinating dies. These flowers are stamped using Simon Says Stamp Teeny Bikini and Twirling Tutu inks. I also stamped a variety of leaves on Neenah white and Desert Storm cardstocks using white and gold embossing powders.
I die cut all the pieces using the Altenew Mini Blossom die cutting machine and then arranged them together using a bit of foam tape on a white panel for my card.
I have filmed a video of the full process which you can view below or on our YouTube channel HERE.

Monthly Mail Art with Kristina Werner – February 2018

Hello all! Kristina here! Today I have a fun rainbow birthday envelope for you featuring stamps from Pretty Pink Posh.
I first watercolored some rainbow stripes onto watercolor paper using watercolors from Sakura Koi. (I used a separate piece of watercolor paper that I adhered to a black envelope after the design was complete). After it was dry, I stamped and white heat embossed some of the images from Pretty Pink Posh’s Birthday Friends stamp set. Then I added shading to the images using a faint gray watercolor.

NOTE: The mailing address is used with permission. Thanks, Caroline!
Caroline’s name was written using a bold Gelly Roll pen, and her mailing address was written with an extra fine Pilot Envelope Addressing Pen.
I hope you enjoy the video of today’s envelope! Thanks for stopping by!

Studio Monday with Nina-Marie: Paper Smooches Baby Birds 2 Ways
Hello everyone, welcome back to my latest Studio Monday video! This week I’m featuring Paper Smooches, and I was very excited to use the adorable Baby Birds stamp set to make a couple of cute BIRD-day cards!
These whimsical birds are so cute and lend themselves well with a bold design. I used bright watercolors from the Yana Smakula & Simon Says Stamp, Daniel Smith dot chart. Don’t let these convenient swatches of color fool you; these dots go a long way! I colored all of the birds (and have used them before previously), and there is still quite a bit leftover!
You’ll also notice that these cute feathered friends are decked out in party accessories! I pulled a few images from the Simon Says Stamp Cuddly Critters Accessories set to give them each party hats and even a bow tie! It’s fun to mix and match sets to create amazing scenes and accents on your cards.
Speaking of accents, my birds are all surrounded by these colorful and fun Balloons die cuts (also from Paper Smooches). I may have got carried away with die cutting, as I ended up with a TON of balloons, but parties call for extra balloons right?
Be sure to check out the video below to see these two cards come together! I had a blast creating them and I hope you enjoy watching as much as I did making! Enjoy your Monday, I will be back soon with more inspiration to share!
