Tone on Tone Die-Cutting by Dawn Woleslagle
Hi friends! Happy Saturday! Please welcome very special guest Dawn Woleslagle, owner of WPlus9, here to provide us some gorgeous floral inspiration! Read on and enjoy!
Hello! I’m excited to be here today to share a couple of cards with you featuring some of the newest Wplus9 products.
I also wanted to highlight a couple of my favorite – and most used – Simon Says Stamp products as well.
I used the new Wplus9 Tossed Florals Background Die to create a subtle tone-on-tone textured background. This intricate die creates a tossed pattern of florals with a lace-like appearance. When used tone-on-tone like this, it gives almost a faux letterpressed look.

I started by die cutting three panels of the floral background. I used one for the background of each card, and the third to cut little floral clusters from and color with Copic Markers.
For both cards, I used the Wplus9 No One Else stamp set for the sentiments stamped in Wplus9 Warm Wool ink onto a circle die cut using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Die.
For the second version, I replaced the stamped “friend” with the Simon Says Stamp Painted Friend Die. By cutting three of these and stacking them one on top of the other, I was able to keep the monochromatic feel and create enough dimension and shadow to make it stand out from the rest of the card.
I embellished each with the floral clusters that I cut and colored from the extra Tossed Florals Background panel.
I hope you enjoyed these projects and are inspired to try it yourself!

Brand NEW Neat & Tangled Inspiration!
Hi friends! TGIF! Are you ready for some sweet inspiration using brand new Neat and Tangled stamps and dies?! We are delighted to share this assortment of inspiration using NEW designs from Neat and Tangled by the amazing Cheiron Brandon! Read on enjoy!
Hi there crafty friends! This is Cheiron from Neat and Tangled and I am thrilled to show you some projects that I have made using stamps and dies from the April Release. There are new 4 stamp and die sets, 1 new cover plate die, 1 new stencil and a brand new sequin mix that are releasing today.
My first project uses the Have Courage stamp and die set. There are beautiful images in this set that can be stamped and layered and wonderful sentiments to send to anyone who could use a bit of courage. For my card, I stamped the gingko leaves in a pattern and loosely colored them in with Mission Gold watercolors. Once they were dry, I added a wash of Daniel Smith Sodalite Genuine watercolor to create my background along with some black, white and gold splatter. To complete the card, I stamped and embossed the I believe In You sentiment in white using Hero Arts White Embossing Powder.
The Making Magic set is just too cute. For this card, I’ve paired the magician and his lovely assistant together. I created the magical “air” with a bit of masking and ink blending surrounded by a pattern of tiny stamped stars.
There are so many possibilities with the Inlaid Squares Cover Plate. For this simple card, I used a piece of colorful patterned paper underneath the cover plate and added the inside squares from the die cut back in. I also used a sentiment from the Have Courage set cut into a heart.
I love all of the positive sentiments in the new Happiness stamp and die set. For this card, I did a bit of ink smooshing with Distress Oxides along with stamping of the tiny hearts over the panel in the same colors. I die cut the die from black and white and inlaid the letters into the black cardstock for a simple and uplifting card.
For the last card, a super simple combo of ink blending and Copic coloring of one of the sweet animal images from the Mommy, Daddy and Me set. Once it was colored I stamped the sentiment underneath and cut out the panel with a stitched rectangle die. I love all these cute critters and their little ones.
I hope you enjoyed this look at our April release. We hope that you love all these new and exciting products as much as we do!! Thanks to Simon Says Stamp for letting us share the excitement with you today!

Monthly Mail Art with Kristina Werner – April 2018

Hello, all! Kristina here with another Monthly Mail Art! This month I created a monochromatic envelope design using the Even More Spring Flowers stamp set!
I started out the design by drawing a large banner shape by hand on Bristol Smooth paper and protecting the area with masking paper. Then I stamped flowers and leaves from the Even More Spring Flowers stamp set around the banner. After removing the masking paper, I was left with a banner shape in the middle of flowers.

To watercolor the envelope, I used only one Zig Clean Color Real Brush marker in the color black. I wanted the colorful postage stamps to stand out, so I kept the stamped area monochromatic.
I trimmed down the watercolored piece to the exact size of a black envelope and then adhered it to the envelope. To protect the design, I applied Distress Micro Glaze.
I hope you enjoyed the video! Thanks for stopping by!
