Cool Summer: Simon Says Stamp Card Kit Reveal and Inspiration
Our July Card Kit, Cool Summer is filled with sunshine and summertime fun that you won’t be able to resist!
This colorful, high energy kit will provide you with hours of creative enjoyment and will result in whimsical, trendy designs you’ll love! It features a vibrant, tropical color palette drawn from the kitschy patterned papers inspired by the Carta Bella Summer Splash collection and includes twelve double-sided 6×6 sheets. You’ll love the ocean-inspired designs featuring flamingos, palm trees, starfish, flips flops and bathing suits, sea creatures, beach scenes, and even tropical drinks.
Also included in the kit are two awesome sticker packs from the American Crafts Sunshine and Good Times collection, by Amy Tangerine. With over 200 hundred stickers (some puffy and some with holographic gold foil), you’ll find fun accents, and quirky sentiments to add to your designs. The patterned papers and sticker packs are complemented perfectly with hand-picked, coordinating cardstock from Simon.
The star of the kit is a jumbo, 6×8 Simon exclusive stamp set called, One Cool Pineapple! We’ve filled it with loads of summertime icons, including a pineapple, a fish, a smiling sun, sunglasses, watermelon, a cactus, a starfish, and a flirty flamingo. Six large, energetic script sentiments with puns and clever turns of phrase further the kit’s summery vibe. There are even heart and bubble accents, and a circle that pairs with the sun. Stamp the circle in one color and the sun in another for a super fantastic result!
And who doesn’t LOVE a flamingo, right? Our Simon Says Stamp exclusive Flamingo wafer die will add fantastic flair to your cards. This die embosses the eye, beak, and wing of the flamingo. Please note: this die will work with the flamingo in the stamp set.
Rounding out this phenomenally fun kit is one 4×6 sheet of Sizzix white foam adhesive, a 3 pack of Simon Says Stamp white pre-scored cards, a 6×6 sheet of Simon Says Stamp Pink Glitter Paper (glittery flamingos!!!), a baggie of Simon Says Stamp Summer Gold sequins, and 1 Doll Pink envelope to encourage you to send some sunshine right away!
Our July Card Kit, Cool Summer is like popsicles and pool time on a scorching summer day!

Altenew June 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!! Welcome to the blog and to the Altenew June Release blog hop! If you’re coming from Zinia Redo’s Blog then you’re in the right place!
Altenew has some amazing new stamps and dies in their June release, I chose the Leaf Canopy stamps and coordinating dies along with the Pinstripe background stamp to create my card.
I thought the pinstripes would be awesome as a ghost image on my card background. This is an easy technique, I stamped the Pinstripes first with Simon Says Stamp white pigment ink on white cardstock. After the white ink was dry, I stamped the leaves over top which reveal the ghost image beneath.
I used Simon Says Stamp inks in Lake Shores, Fog and Smoke for the larger set of leaves. Then I silver embossed the smaller set of leaves and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I popped it up with a bit of foam tape and added a white embossed message stamped on Slate cardstock.
I have filmed a video of how I created this card which you can view below or on our YouTube channel HERE.
Are you ready to continue on the Hop? The next stop is to my ever so talented friend DEBBY HUGHES. Enjoy!!
I hope you enjoy all the inspiration as you hop along!!
