Studio Monday with Nina-Marie: 2 Ways to Foil with Gina K. Designs
Hello crafters, it’s Nina-Marie with you today! Welcome back to my latest Studio Monday tutorial, featuring some shiny foils, Fall themed stamps and Foil Mates from Gina K. Designs! With all the leaves changing colors, the crisp fresh air and sunflowers popping up in everyone’s outdoor decor, there is no denying that all the Autumn vibes are abound.
The pretty florals are from Gina’s Graphic Sunflowers stamp set; I used the Wild Dandelion, Gold and Copper Deco Foils with the Grapic Sunflowers Foil Mates sheets to create the shiny foil areas. The flowers were stamped with Duckling, Sunshine, Green Leaf and Evergreen inks. There is a bit of accent stamping behind the florals, which I created with the Simon Says Stamp, Look for the Miracles set.
The greeting for this card was from the Gina K. Designs Thankful and Blessed stamp set and was embossed in white. I created texture on the card base by using the Neat & Tangled Star Cover Plate die. Finally, I embellised the sunflowers with gold jewels; I love how the gems accent these florals so perfectly!
The second card I created features the lovely, Thankful Leaves collection! I wanted to do something a bit different to color the leaves, as I used a stamping for the sunflower card. I could have used Copics or pencils, but decided to see how the Thankful Leaves Foil Mates paper would take watercolors! Because these Foil Mates are heavy-weight cardstock and not watercolor paper, you cannot overwork the paper or it will pill But for something organic, such as dropping in colors for leaves, it worked perfect!
I layered the foiled leaves onto a card base that has a stack of the Birch Press Designs Wave dies adhered on top. I love how the swirls of the waves make it appear as if the leaves are falling! The sentiment I embossed with Antique Gold embossing powder and I embellished areas around the leaves with gold confetti.
For the foiling, I used the following Deco Foils: Amethyst Watercolor, Spring Green, Gold, Sweet Mango and Copper.
Each of these cards are great examples for how you can use the Gina K. Designs and ThermoWeb Graphic Sunflowers and Thankful Leaves Stamp ‘n Foil products! Be sure to watch the video below to see how I created these foiled beauties!

What’s New from Neat & Tangled!
Hi friends! Happy Sunday! Have you seen the newest collection from Neat & Tangled?! This fabulous group of stamps, dies, and a stencil is all part of the October 2018 release! We’re pleased to have two special cards from some very talented designers to share on our blog today for inspiration! Peruse the gorgeous cards by Sveta Fotina and Miriam Prantner!
Sveta created a rich, elegant winter themed card using our new Cubic Cover Plate die and Hello Winter word die. To get that gorgeous embossed looking card base she using the die and built her die cutting sandwich to include a rubber embossing mat.
The gold “winter” sentiment was cut from gold glitter cardstock and then adhered to the beautiful card base.

Miriam created an adorable nativity scene using our new Nativity Play stamp set! To create this card she cut the navy card base, and then the green hill using Stitched Slopes dies.
She created the yellow star by die cutting several of the curved pieces using the new Card Front Designs dies and arranging them in the shape of the star. She then stamped, colored, and die cut all the characters! Once complete she arranged them to create a sweet scene!

Doodling with Debby: Pencils On Kraft
Hi friends! Happy Saturday! Please welcome back the always amazing and inventive Debby Hughes in the latest installment of our monthly “Doodling with Debby” feature! Take a walk down this Winter Wonderland beauty and enjoy!
Hi, it’s Debby here for my monthly Doodling With Debby video feature on the Simon Says Stamp blog and for today I’m using pencils on kraft for a softly colored icy snowflake card using the Outline Snowflakes set along with the Merry dies and Tiny Words Christmas set.
I used a piece of 100lb Neenah Desert Storm card and stamped the Outline Snowflakes cling mount set in clear embossing ink. This gave a tone on tone guide on which to color with Faber Castell Pencils.
After coloring, I placed the kraft card back in the Misti, stamped again with clear embossing ink and this time white heat embossed the lines.
For the sentiment, I colored a piece of white card with the pencils I used for the background and then die cut the Merry die from the colored card. I mounted the word on the shadow die cut that comes with the Merry die set cut from white card. In addition, I stamped the words ‘and bright’ using the Tiny Words Christmas set in clear embossing ink on card colored again with a pencil and then white heat embossed. I added the two sentiment pieces to the background with foam adhesive.
I added the kraft panel to a white card base and then accented with Starry Night Sequins, Silver Glossy Dots and Simply White Crystal Drops before adding a little more shimmer with a Sparkle pen.
Thanks for joining me today, and I’ll see you next time for Doodling With Debby.
