Creating an Envelope Scene – Monthly Mail Art with Kristina Werner, December 2018

Hello all! Kristina Werner here. :) I’m back with another installment of Monthly Mail Art! For this month’s envelope, I used an itty bitty stamp set from Lawn Fawn, Oh What Fun!
First, I stamped the sledding bear in black ink on an Audrey Blue envelope. I drew a slope for him to be sledding on in black ink as well. I then colored the bear and the snowy ground using Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils.

To create a more dramatic sky, I blended Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink from the top of the envelope (and a bit from the bottom as well).
I wrote the recipient’s address in white gel pen, and added falling snow (or stars!).
NOTE: Address using with permission. Thanks, Kelly!
I finished off the envelope by adding postage stamps and my return address on the flap of the envelope.
Thanks for stopping by today! :)

Pop Art Cookie Love Card Featuring Waffle Flower Crafts
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! Welcome to the reveal of another brand new and lovely collection from Waffle Flower! The always awesome Channin Pelletier made a super cute card for us to share on our blog to celebrate this fab new release! Read on and enjoy!
Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with Waffle Flower Crafts and I am so thrilled to be here at Simon Says Stamp sharing a new card video featuring some new products from Waffle Flower Crafts’ December Release. In today’s video, I will create a fun Pop Art inspired card using the new Cookie Love Combo and the Halftone Background Stamp Set!
First, I stamped all the images from the Cookie Love Stamp Set onto Bristol paper in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I then stamped the cat 3 more times so I had a total of 4 cats. Once I had stamped all my images, I watercolored them in with several slightly watered down Distress Inks.
After I had finished painting I then die cut the images out with the matching dies. Then I stamped mini backgrounds using the Halftone Background Stamp Set with Distress Oxides onto four 3.25” x 2.75” sized pieces of scrap white cardstock. Once stamped, I trimmed the scraps down to 2.5” squares.
Next, I stamped and then white heat embossed a sentiment from the Cookie Love Stamp Set onto black cardstock. I then trimmed down the sentiment to a strip using a paper trimmer and a pair of scissors. Lastly, I completed the card by gluing the stamped backgrounds and watercolored images onto a 5.25” square card base and adhered the sentiment with foam tape.
I hope you enjoyed my card and video! Thanks so much for stopping by!
