The EASIEST Way to Smoosh Ink for Gorgeous Backgrounds: EZ with CZ

Hi friends! Happy Monday! Please join me in welcoming special monthly Guest *CZ herself*, Cathy Zielske in the latest of our EZ with CZ blog series! Be sure to watch the video to learn all the details on this pretty card and enjoy!

Today I’m sharing a fun way to smoosh or splotch ink color onto your card project to create a pretty background design. What makes it easier? A DIY splotching tool that is easy to make. I learned this trick from watching a YouTube channel called NB Cards where she shows in detail how to make a splotcher.

I’m also using my CZ Design Easter Grid stamps and dies for today’s project. Here is my video showing you how to splotch.

It’s basically just ink smooshing but by making your own little tool, you have more control over the splotches. Be sure to work with analogous colors (colors that follow one another on the color wheel) so they will meld where they overlap beautifully.

I hope you’ll give this fun technique a try today. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you next month!
