The CUTEST Heart Shaped Card featuring Tim Holtz Correspondence Stamps + Simon Says Stamp Coordinating Dies!

Hi friend! Happy Monday! It’s the week of love, and what better way to celebrate than making a unique cool card like this sample by special guest Cheiron? Welcome, Cheiron Brandon! Please keep on reading to learn all about her tips and tricks to recreate this for yourself and enjoy!

Today I have a fun heart shaped card for you using all the fun stamps, seals and images from the Tim Holtz Correspondence set along with the coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp. I started by cutting two hearts from Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red Cardstock, this is going to make up the base of our card. I took one of the hearts and scored the top at ½ inch (this will be the back of the card) and set it aside.

I picked out all the images that I wanted to use and pulled out the stamps and coordinating dies for each one. I stamped my images in Candied Apple Distress Oxide, Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide and Versafine Nocturne Black onto Distress Watercolor and Cotton Candy cardstock. Once all my images were stamped and cut, I added some color to them using Distress Watercolor Pencils. I wanted one final piece to add to my card, so I cut a tiny envelope and a red glitter heart using the Sizzix Love Notes Sidekick Dies. I inked the edges of the envelope with Black Soot Archival Distress Ink before adhering it together.

Once all my pieces were cut, I played around with how I wanted to arrange them on the heart. I placed them onto the heart using foam squares and layered some of the pieces for even more dimension. For the sentiment, I added one from the CZ Design EZ Strips Love Set. Once that was added, I added the second scored heart to the back of my card using double sided tape.

I hope you enjoyed creating this card with me! I loved playing with all the fun die cut elements which are now so easy with the coordinating dies!
