Snowy Village Two Ways!

Hello everyone! Heather Hoffman here today, and I had lots of fun playing the elements in the December 2025 Card Kit: Bright Christmas! I used the stamp set and the little coordinating stencil in two different ways – keep reading to see how I created these cards:
I love the adorable village scene from the Bright Christmas stamp set in the kit – and adding the adorable little Bright Christmas Rooftops stencil just makes it even more fun! There are so many possibilities, I thought I would show a couple options with it. For both of these cards, I started off by stamping the village scene on my panel of cardstock – one on white, and one on Emerald as included in the kit. I stamped with Nocturne ink, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder for a bit of fun shine.
Next up, it was time to use the stencil! For the deep green card, I used the included White Opaque Paste to give a snowy effect. This works especially well on the deep colored cardstock – that white just pops against the green background and crisp black stamping! For the other card, I pulled out a trio of fun ink colors – Citrine, Mandarin, and Cranberry – and blended the color on the rooftops (masking out the snowmen for this one) before adding a layer of Gina K Sparkle Gel over the top. The fun bright colors with a pop of glitter is SOOO fun!
Once all of that dried, I added some splatter with the Gold Splatter in the kit – making sure to mix the color really well to evenly distribute all of that sparkle. Don’t you love how it looks different on each color of cardstock? I let that dry again, then added sentiments from the Christmas Sticker book in the kit, matting the larger sentiment on white cardstock and popping it up with foam. I added some Dazzling Gems in Mandarin to set off the sentiment, then mounted the green panel on a white cardbase, and the white panel on an Ivory cardbase.
