One Stamp, Five Ways: Undersea Friends

Hi friends! Please join me in welcoming back special monthly guest Suzy Plantamura with another fun rendition of “One Stamp, Five Ways” featuring our newly released Undersea Friends set! Read on and learn more! Enjoy!

Hello fellow card makers! I am here today with my monthly installment of my “one stamp, five ways” series. I used a stamp set from the Friend Like You release called Undersea Friends. I picked this stamp for my post today because I love anything to do with the ocean and the critters that live in it! I live by the beach and I’m kind of addicted! Here are my 5 cards:

I made a shaker card with these cute underwater critters! I stamped all the images in the stamps set with Versafine black ink. I colored them all in with Copic Markers and used a White Uniball for details. I used a few of this card and more of them on other cards.

I made the background using Nuvo Shimmer Powders on watercolor paper. I love the way they blend and shimmer! I glued some of the images from the stamp set on the background. I poured some Starshine Embellishment Mix over the background and used a shaker pocket over it. I attached a few white sequins over the outside of the pocket. I stamped the sentiment using the Best Fishes stamp and die bundle with black ink.

This is a 5×7 card. I used the new Under Water Stencils over the top of the card with every blue ink SSS carries (all linked below). I cut a piece of cardstock for the sand and inked it with Latte PSInk and used Copic Markers to add dots, so it looked more like sand.

I attached the sand portion over the background with foam tape underneath it. I then attached all the stamped images. I stamped a sentiment using the Undersea Friends stamp set and black ink and attached it to the top center of the card. Sometimes a 5×7” card is just needed so you can use (almost) ALL the stamps in a stamp set!

This is my “random stamping” card! I cut my three fishes apart as they were one stamp. I then stamped them randomly over a A2 sized piece of white cardstock using Latte PSInk. I colored them all in with colored pencils. I prefer pencils for no-line coloring.

I cut this piece down a little and attached it to a blue card base. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set using Versafine Ink. I attached that to the bottom of the card with foam tape behind it. I used Tonic Crystal Glaze over all the bubbles.

I embossed the Wavy Background Stamp with white embossing powder on watercolor paper. I cut two of the waves off it and painted them with Karin Brushmarkers in different colors of blue. I splattered water over them and pressed a paper towel over them to get little splotches. I attached them to a front of a white card in the center.

I used more of my stamped and colored images from the stamp set colored with Copic Markers. I cut the three small fish apart after I die-cut them. I used all the fish in the stamp set for this card. I tucked some under the waves and sat some on top of the waves. I stamped a sentiment from the Best Fishes stamp set in black ink and attached that to the bottom of the card. I used Vintage Chalk Stick Nuvo drops over the background.

My last card is a slimline card. I cut two pieces of white cardstock to be 8.5×3.5” and cut a wavy hill shape on the top of one of them. I then used Sky and Dusk PSInks over the sky area and Splattered some Night PSInk and White Opaque Splatter Paint over the sky. I used Cookie and Gingerbread Ink over the sand area and then splattered Cocoa PSInk and White Opaque Splatter Paint over it. I attached the sand over the sky using foam tape behind it.

I stamped some of the images from the stamp set with black ink and colored them in with Copic Markers. I also used some of the plant images from the Playful Dolphins stamp set as I wanted this to be a ground scene. I attached them over the background. I added a sentiment from the stamp set stamped with black ink. I used Tonic Crystal Glaze over the bubbles again.
This cute little Undersea Critters stamp set makes me want to take a swim under the sea with some goggles! I’ve done that in Hawaii many times and I’ve seen such beautiful sea creatures. I enjoyed working with this stamp set to create 5 fun cards since it has so many images in it. I love that many of the other products in the Friend Like You release coordinate so well with it! Thanks for visiting and I hope you are having a lovely summer! Suzy

Hi, Suzy and SSS –
These are GLORIOUS!!!!! I love all of them. I thought you were joking about “every blue that SSS makes” or however you worded it. But you do have a lot of them linked – holy stars!
Love all your cards!!

Absolutely loved the creative ideas in this post so many fun ways to use the Undersea Friends stamp set! The ocean theme is adorable and super inspiring. By the way, I found a cute way to save craft tutorials I enjoy, Notube helps me download YouTube videos quickly so I can rewatch them offline while crafting. Thanks for the inspiration!
These are all Adorable!!! I love your bubbly shaker card!!
Really fintastic cards (sorry, I had to do it!)
I love all the happy colors! Great inspiration for this collection!
I was looking for something to disconnect for a while and I came across spin mama, which has special bonuses for players from Mexico. I was struck by how easy the platform is to use and how quickly I started to enjoy it. It’s ideal for relaxing without complications and without having to invest a lot at the beginning. Now I use it whenever I want to have a good time!
