Hello Crafty Friends! Today I wanted to introduce you to Lawn Fawn’s newest critter, Capybaras! These giant gentle rodents are cute and cuddly and perfect for all projects!

To help set the scene we have two new backdrop dies, for today’s card I have used the Riverside Backdrop: Landscape. These riverside environments are great for capybaras but will work with any critter in your stash to set a perfect scene. I used a mixture of new Gleeful Gradients patterned paper for the starry sky and river and ink blended white Bristol cardstock for the riverbank. The grasses, rocks and tree are all included in this fun backdrop set.

I was going for a nighttime scene so I used the stratus cloud stencil and distress oxide ink in lost shadow and weathered wood to make soft nighttime clouds. The moon is simply cut with a circle die for a pop of color.

The Riverside Backdrop: Landscape does cut it’s own frame but I wanted to dress this up a little, so I cut the interior pieces away from the frame and layered them onto a Lacy Rectangle Stackable and Stitched Rectangle Stackable. Gel pen details and stickles add finishing touches and really bring this cute scene to life. I would love to join the Capybaras on this moonlight stroll.

Today I am sharing an everyday card but the Capybaras! stamp set includes party hats and a graduation cap so there are lots of options for different occasions.
