Love You Detailed Heart Shaker Cards

Hi friends! Heather Hoffman here today with a couple of sweet layered shaker cards in two different monochromatic color schemes, and with fun bits of texture and layers!

I used the Hearts Aplenty die to create the shaker element, and two pairs of colors cardstock. For the pink card I used Cotton Candy and Doll Pink, and for the purple card I used Lavender and Royal Purple. I used the Hearts Aplenty die to cut a window in each A2 panel of the lighter colors of cardstock, then cut it again from white cardstock for the inlay part. I created the shaker with acetate, foam adhesive, and filled each one with coordinating Ballet Slipper or Lavender Hearts embellishment mixes, then used liquid glue to inlay the white detailed hearts.

Once the shaker element was done, I added a bit of texture on the top layer with the Delicate Lattice stencil, and a bit of White Pigment ink randomly applied in a few spots through the stencil. I love the finished effect on this – so soft and pretty!

Next up, it was time for a sentiment! I used Heart Suite for the “Love” word, and You 2 for the “you” – stamping both in Nocturne ink, then clear heat embossing to make them shine a bit extra. I popped those up with foam adhesive strips on the front of the card under the hearts.

Finally, a few Clear Dazzling gems provide the perfect extra bit of sparkle, added in a couple little rows of 3 for a bit of a different placement than I usually use. I thought it fit this design just perfectly!

Are you still creating Valentine and love theme cards? Or have you moved on to spring and Easter already?
