Don’t Forget Your Flair!
Hi bloggers! Happy Sunday to you! I’m always thrilled to have guest designer Teri Anderson back on our blog. She has this fun, happy, and clean style that I just can’t get enough of! Below she talks more about her process of making these 2 fantastic cards & there’s even a special blog candy opportunity below!
Enjoy!
Hi again!Teri here, and I am super excited to be back here with you! (Thanks for inviting me back again, Simon friends!)You all always inspire me to challenge myself so I challenged myself to make something with a couple Technique Tuesday stamp sets: With Flair (which I designed) and Fun Flair by Ali Edwards (which, yes, my friend Ali designed).I am a big fan of all things circle-related so these two sets are right up my alley. And one of the really cool things about them is they were designed to work with a 1” circle punch.I really like the look when you just stamp some of the sets’ stamps, punch them out and then lay them on a card. But these circles are also pretty fun when dressed up! You know how Flair buttons are all the rage? Well, one of the cool things is you can use things, like the clear epoxy 1” circle stickers from Bottle Cap Inc., on top of them.It gives the circle a bit of a finish, where it looks a lot like Flair! (By the way, if you don’t have any of those epoxy stickers, you can get a somewhat similar result if you apply a few layers of Glossy Accents. It takes time, multiple layers of Glossy Accents and patience, but you can achieve a somewhat similar look.)If you look at the “hi” on my Hi Stars card and “Hello” on my Hello Bubbles card, you can see my homemade Flair buttons look on a card. To give them even more pop, I did add a few pieces of foam tape underneath each one. Thanks again for having me!
