Crafty with Caly: Heart Blooms Stencil Trio
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! How pretty is this card by Caly Person in our latest edition of Crafty with Caly on the blog?! Read on and be sure to watch the video for more details. Enjoy!
Hi, Friends! It’s Caly with you today and I wanted to share a card made using the Waffle Flower Heart Blooms Stencil Trio set. I love layered stencils and I don’t always add color the way they’re intended to add extra color and dimension.
Simon Says Stamp inks come in such beautiful shades and I used several on my card (Key Lime, Green Leaf, Dusty Sage, Laurel Green, Hollyhock, Watermelon, Deep Purple). I find it easiest to add color using a finger dauber for detailed stencils like the one I’m using today.

After adding color using each stencil layer, I added a stitching border using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles die. Then I splattered the panel with white paint and Watermelon ink.
To finish my card, I die-cut the world Heart from the Oversized Heart Die and embossed my sentiment from the Oversized Heart stamp.
I love adding lots of dimension with foam adhesive and I hope the way I added color using these stencils gave the card lots of dimension. Thank you all for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!~Caly

Lovely card. Great tips. I love those stencils!
So pretty and loved the color combos. I tried splattering the other day and didn’t use a box and splattered everything on my dining room table. I had taken hours to make another card and splattered on it so had to add allot of bling to cover it up!!!!!!
This is amazing thanks for sharing this blog I become fan of your blogs now. This blog is so interesting and informative.
