It’s Cassie’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)
Cassie used a Tim Holtz Tiny Prints Stamp for her background. For the main focus she used a car is from Home for Christmas stamp set and she popped a few flowers from a Tim Holtz/Simon Says Stamp Mini Bouquet Stamp and Coordinating Die Set on the roof!

Anna-Karin made an art journal page in memory of the beautiful winter weather during the past two months. She white embossed snowflakes from Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Season on the background and painted with Daniel Smith watercolors. The page was done in Stamperia’s Happiness Mixed Media Journal.

Andrea used sunrays cut from AALL & Create’s Voltage Stars die for her colorful sunny card. She used AALL & Create’s Retro Numbers die for the shape of the card itself. She also utilized watercolors and Atomic Alcohol Ink for pops of color.

Cheiron is wishing for spring!!! She created a card with some tiny spring blooms using the Simon Says Stamp Simple Flowers Wafer dies. She cut her flowers out of colorful spring colored cardstock and layered them over Simon Says Stamp Black Cardstock to really make them pop. She added a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp EZ Strips XL Reverse Basics that she cut with the EZ Strips Banners Wafer die.

Emma was inspired by the lyrics of the song, Come Rain Or Come Shine because whatever the weather, love is all around! She used the bunnies from the Sizzix Vault Bunny + Chick Thinlits Dies by Tim Holtz as focal points on her envelope and postage stamp set. She added die cut hearts from the Lovebirds die set and completed these pieces by adding stamped and die cut ephemera using the Correspondence Stamp and SSS Die Bundle.

Kath was inspired by the signs in her garden that Spring is on the way to create a series of notecards using Simon Says Stamp Watercolor Bouquet and Brushstroke Greetings stamp sets, Watercolor Bouquet and Brushstroke Greetings co-ordinating dies and Pawsitively Saturated Inks.

Macarena was inspired by the beautiful sunsets she experienced in Spain and made a tag reflecting one of them. She built up the sunset colors using mainly Tim Holtz Distress Mica Stains and a strongly pigmented Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Reinkers. She saved the colors in between the layers using Ranger Dina Wakley Media Clear Gloss Spray. She used also Spellbinders Set Sail Etched Dies.

Maura was inspired by the resilience of ducks to thrive in any weather. She made a card using Simon Says Stamp’s Rubber Ducky die, Simon Says Stamp Waves stencil and Simon Says Stamp Rainbow Splash cardstock.

Meihsia was inspired to create a card using Simon Says Clear Stamps Rain or Shine on the background, and colored it with Copic SKETCH 72 PC SET B Markers and Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi 24 COLOR Set.

Zoey used Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Watercolor as main focus on her tag. She used Distress Ink in the background then layered some dark Oxide through the Nordic stencil. She also added some glimmer with Distress SPRITZ!

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Spritz and Splatter Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week we are challenging you to add some:
THINGS WITH WHEELS
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! Cassie used the bicycle from a Tim Holtz Pen and Pencil Stamp Set. She added Ideaology Gears to the wheels and a fabulous flower seat using a Mini Bouquet Stamp Set.

Andrea used the picture wheel from Tim Holtz’s Picture Show Vault die set to make a colorful card. She also used Tim Holtz’s Tiny Attacher to staple on some elements, his Mini Brads to connect the wheel to the card base, and his Label Stickers – Thoughts for the sentiment on the front.

Anna-Karin made an art journal page this week and like Maura, she thought of color wheels. The color wheel was made with Tim Holtz Color Wheel Stencil and Distress Watercolor Pencils. It was paired up with stamps on the theme of travelling through creativity. Texture was added with the Simon Says Stamp Crackle Background.

Barbara created a tag using the Simon Says Stamp Luggage Tags die. For the background, she used Tim Holtz’s Sizzix Vault Gears ML Embossing Folder. She added texture with two embossing powders: Ranger Ink Hammered and Wow Sea of Tranquility by Seth Apter.

Cheiron stamped her first layers with the Tim Holtz Tidbits stamps. She added Translucent Texture Paste through the Wheel stencil then added multiple colors of Distress Embossing Glaze and then heat embossed. She sprayed over the dried glaze with DIstress Spray Stain in Frayed Burlap.

Emma used an idea-ology Snapshot photo to tell the story of the Travelling Man. She created layers, texture and dimension on a Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Tag using idea-ology products, including Industrial Gears, a Hinge Clip, Gauge Frame and Type Chips, which she mounted onto a background of papers from the Orange Palette 8″ x 8″ Paper Collection.

Kath used the images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous The Professor 2 and Brushstrokes to create a wheel themed background, Simon Says Stamp Windswept Leaves and Nuvelli Script Thank You Wafer Dies and decorated with flowers Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Funky Floral Wreath Thinlits.

Macarena made a card with a lot of splatters made on the background using Tim Holtz Distress Mica Stains on the Paper Artsy Seth Apter Tissue pt06. For the wheels she used a jeep from the 49 and Market Rust and Revs collection.

Maura was inspired by the movie “Mary Poppins” as she was working on her color wheel tag. She used Tim Holz’s Wheel Layering stencil on a Dina Wakley Media Tag, and blended Simon Says Stamp Inks from Apple to Amethyst.

Meihsia was inspired to create a card using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps CMS128 ROAD TRIP on the background, and colored it with Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi GEM COLORS Set of 6 and Tim Holtz idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS.

Zoey used Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Sideshow as the focus of her tag. She decorated it also with modeling paste throught a stencil and used Distress Sprays for the background and Distress Spritz for a touch of glimmer!

So now it’s YOUR turn to get out your inks, paints and all things arty and start creating! We are looking forward to seeing what you make!
