Simon Says: Thinking Of You

newchallenge

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

Thank you for joining us for the Treat Bag/Box Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

Thinking Of You

The 11th November is Veterans Day, in Commonwealth countries it is known as Armistice Day. In 1918 it signified the end of the 1st World War and is traditionally a day to remember all of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store

This is Nikki’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight. Thank you so much for all of your fabulous creations over these past weeks Nikki, it has been a real pleasure having you along with us.

Nikki made a card using a Tim Holtz Ornate Frame and Leaf Blueprint Stamp and Die Set

ThinkingofYou

Andrea made a set of encouraging cards using Echo Park’s Feather dies, Dina Wakley Washi tape, and Infusions colored stain in A Bit Jaded, Emerald Isle, and Are You Cerise.

Anna-Karin started out making a thinking of you card, but changed her mind when she stamped the lovely Simon Says Stamp You Matter stamp and instead made a scrapbooking layout. It is a perfect stamp to express that you are thinking of someone else and that that person matters.

Barbara has interpreted this challenge in a non-traditional way! Her “thinking of you” project is dedicated  to all those who love the celebration  of today: Halloween! To do this she has created a very spooky home decor with  Lost Zombie  coming out from  Idea-ology Wooden Vignette Coffin in his small garden enclosed by Gothic Gate!

Cathie was thinking about her daughter, who is in Peru teaching, when she created her mixed media panel using the Tim Holtz Flower Garden stamp set and Tammy Tutterow Picnic embossing folder to add some texture.

As we approach November 11th, Emma is thinking of all the brave heroes from around the world and created a panel in commemoration, using her favourite Globe die and combining it with the Tattered Florals die.

Lols is thinking of all of the servicemen and women who have been injured or lost in battle. Traditionally poppies are the flower of choice but I have chosen to use Tim Holtz Wildflowers for my remembrance card.
