Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week the challenge is

Add Some Texture

There are so many ways we can add a little bit of extra interest and texture to our projects, from corrugated card, to embossing folders, pastes, gels, fabrics, the list is endless! We will be looking forward to seeing what you use to add more texture to your creation!

This is Aida’s last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your fabulous creations over the past month. It has been a pleasure having you along with us!

 Aida  made a gorgeous canvas and corrugated plaque using a Memory Box Blushing Flower Die and a Tim Holtz Friendship Word Block Die

Andrea used a Punchinella die, some Dina Wakley Textures stamps and fun foam to make this power-packed polka dot card.

Anna-Karin loves texture and made a scrapbooking layout using many different techniques, featuring, for example, Ranger’s Texture Paste and Tim Holtz Sizzix Doily dies.

Barbara used different kinds of textures to alter an Idea-ology Vignette Box : Embossing folders with Distress crayons and alcohol inks, stencil and Wendy Vecchi Crackled Texture  paste and the fabulous Mosaic kit!

Cathie added burlap twine and torn cardboard along with texture paste and stencils to add texture to her mixed media panel.

Final 1

Cheiron created a textured burlap panel using corrugated from textured surfaces and texture paste.

Emma created layer upon layer of texture using corrugated card, the Mixed Media 2 dies and the Flourish Layering Stencil.

Kath used Prima Timeless Memories PapersMini Art Stones, a Penmanship Flower and LeavesPlumerial Floral Lace Trim and Word Play Letters to create texture on her canvas

Macarena debuts in applying tissues and a lot of Distress Stains and Sprays to make a textured background.

Maura added texture this week with Tim Holtz’s Woodgrain card stock and had fun with Simon Says Stamp’s One with Nature set.

Meihsia created some texture on this mixed media tag using Prima Flowers Modeling Paste and Faber-Castell White Gesso.

Sandra gave her tag texture by embossing with the Industrial stencil and using Texture Paste

I so love the DT creations with all of the lovely texture – I am going to try and work on some tags using lots of texture as I do love the look of those tags – I entered my CAS card that has paint texture on it – If you ran your fingers along the paint on this card you will feel the texture – TFS and for the challenge – have blessed week!

  2. Amazing projects from the DT. I was blown away by the different feelings each project evokes. Texture can be used to provide such a visceral impact for the viewer. I’m really looking forward to playing along this week. Thanks to you all for inspiration!!
