February 2021 Card Kit Inspiration with Kristina Werner

Hello, all! Kristina here. I’m back with more card kit inspiration, this time featuring the February 2021 Card Kit! For my circle card, I used the patterned papers from the kit, plus the Love You Beary Much stamp set.
I first stamped the bear and candy hearts images using Intense Black ink. Then I colored the images using Copic Markers, and fussy cut them out.

The circle card base was created by cutting two circles using the Cotton Candy cardstock from the kit. I used strips of the patterned paper to create a horizontal strip of patterns to go behind the bear and candies.

Mini Love Cards with the Limited Edition Valentine’s Day 2021 Card Kit!

Happy Monday, all! Kristina here with some inspiration using the 2021 Limited Edition Valentine’s Day Card Kit! This kit is packed with SO much that I only used a small portion in the creation of four mini cards.
Included in the kit are four mini envelopes (two in red, and two in vellum/clear). These tiny envelopes are perfect for small Valentine’s notes! And they were the inspiration behind my cards today.
I first created my own patterned paper! I did this by spraying the gold glitter mist spray from the kit onto some patterned paper (I used the solid red back of one sheet) using the Hot Lips stencil. The gold shimmer was perfect! I used this DIY patterned paper for the main pattern on of my mini cards.

Then I cut the patterned paper into strips and full-card backgrounds, and mixed and matched the different ephemera diecuts from the kit.
For the final card, I used a picture from my wedding and adhered it behind one of the frames. Easy peasy!
There is even more to this kit! I barely scratched the surface! You can pick up the For My Sweet kit for a limited time HERE (once it’s gone–it’s gone!).

Easy Idea-ology Card by Cheiron Brandon
Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Please join me in welcoming back special guest Cheiron Brandon as a guest on our blog today! Read on and enjoy!

Hi there crafty friends! I am thrilled to be here today to give you a quick and easy idea for all those Idea-ology paper dolls in your stash. For this card, I created a fun floral background, and added a few of my favorite Idea-ology pieces to create a fun, simple card. This card would be great to make in multiples by switching out the colors of the background, Paper Dolls and sentiments.

To begin, I cut the Sizzix Bouquet die out of Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I placed the background into my Splat Box and misted it with water using the Distress Sprayer. Then I sprayed the entire die with Victorian Velvet Distress Spray Stain, and then Sprayed Wilted Violet Distress Spray Stain just into the centers of the flowers and dried the piece with a heat tool. Once it was dry, I adhered it to the card base using Distress Collage Medium.

I inked the edges of a Paper Doll with Black Soot Distress Ink and added it to the front of the card. Then I took a sentiment sticker from the Big Talk Snarky stickers and adhered it to the card using foam tape. To complete the card, I added a few of the gold colored Tim Holtz Idea-ology Metallic Droplets. I love how easy it is to create a card with just a few supplies and a bold mixed media background.
