I am so very excited to announce that you’ll be seeing a new creative face here at the Monday challenge blog! Barbara (aka Barbara YaYa) <\/a> will be joining us with some very special projects over the next few months! We are very excited to have her contributing to the team – and we think you’ll really love her work.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"barbara\"I live in Bologna, Italy, and be here to work with this wonderful team is one of my dreams come true.<\/p>\n

I have started to create at 5 years old with scissors, glue, colors and newspaper clippings to make collages. Then my creative journey continued with decoupage, cardboard, card making and scrapbooking.<\/p>\n

When I discovered Tim Holtz and Ranger products I think without a doubt what was my true way. My creativity has two souls: the first totally grunge \/ vintage inspired above all by Tim Holtz and Wendy Vecchi, the other is super colorful as the style of Dyan Reavelay. I also really like the shabby chic style but I have not jumped on this adventure!<\/p>\n

Since that time I became interested also to other styles and this year would like to start my first art journal and making some experiment with mixed media.<\/p>\n

In my free time by craft (very little because I have two children aged 12 and 8 years) I like to watch TV series , listen to music and watch movies!”<\/p>\n

When I heard the theme of the challenge ” love letters ”\u00a0I immediately thought the four letters that spell the word love . While I was looking in my materials that I could use, I have fallen into the hands still packed mini burlap Ideaology.<\/p>\n

I have used many Ideaology supplies\u00a0because I like them very much and they are almost always present in my work.\u00a0 I stamped the small cupid on watercolor paper Ranger with Archival ink Sepia and then I colored it with distress ink , let it dry and then sprinkled with crackle paint Rock candy.<\/p>\n

All pieces Ideaology were slightly modified by adding a touch of Distress paint Tarnished brass , sprinkled with your fingers. For the hearts I’ve always used grungeboard but I’ve colored them with Distress stain Fired brick .<\/p>\n

To cut the 4 letters I used grungeboard and the alphabet by Tim Holtz “world play.”<\/p>\n

Always with my fingers, I colored the letters with distress paint Evergreen bough mixed with Broken china and illuminated with a touch of tarnished brass.<\/p>\n

To finish the project I used tissue tape and a long zipper , making this a kind of frame . I love the zip and I like to use them very often.<\/p>\n

I hope you enjoyed my project. Valentine’s Day is very near and could be a nice thought to give the person you love.<\/p>\n
