Boots, leather, dusty old west towns, fading sunsets &#8211; oh the possibilities of a cowboy riding away&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-942\" alt=\"009\" src=\"http:\/\/www.simonsaysstampblog.com\/mondaychallenge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2014\/01\/009.jpg\" width=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.simonsaysstampblog.com\/mondaychallenge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2014\/01\/009.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.simonsaysstampblog.com\/mondaychallenge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2014\/01\/009-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.simonsaysstampblog.com\/mondaychallenge\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2014\/01\/009-600x395.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ultimately though, I decided I wanted to create a video featuring various techniques for a distressed or aged background. Using tags or plain cardstock as a base, I can play, create, and have all the &#8216;no pressure&#8217; fun without worrying about messing something up.\u00a0 So for those who perhaps want to bring a bit of the old into their newest creation &#8211; here you go!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4gEsZs4_BCw?rel=0\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.simonsaysstamp.com\/servlet\/the-Ranger-Tim-Holtz-Distress-Stains\/Categories\" target=\"_blank\">Distress stain<\/a>, ink, and of course <a href=\"http:\/\/www.simonsaysstamp.com\/servlet\/the-42491\/DYC33905-MELTED-CHOCOLATE-RED\/Detail\" target=\"_blank\">Dylusions melted chocolate <\/a>are some of my favorite tools for this job! Also seen in this video are Tim&#8217;s<a href=\"http:\/\/www.simonsaysstamp.com\/servlet\/the-59641\/Tim-Holtz-Collection-BURLAP\/Detail\" target=\"_blank\"> burlap<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.simonsaysstamp.com\/servlet\/the-64330\/ths023-woodgrain-wood-grain\/Detail\" target=\"_blank\">woodgrain<\/a> stencils.<\/p>\n<p>After filming this video, I did end up turning one of the backgrounds into a finished tag.
