Thank you for joining us for the Things With Wings Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.<\/p>\n

This week we are challenging you to<\/p>\n

Make A Rainbow<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

this theme can be interpreted in many ways, you could choose to actually paint a rainbow or use a rainbow of bright colours on your project. We will be looking forward to seeing how you interpret this challenge!<\/p>\n

We are showcasing Tim Holtz Products<\/a> this week. You don’t have to use them to join in, but if you have them we would love to see them used!<\/p>\n

We are welcoming the lovely and super talented Amy Bethke <\/a>aka Amy’s Card Obsession<\/a> into the Designer Spotlight. Please pop over to Amy’s fabulous blog and see the awesome creations she has made!<\/p>\n

Amy<\/a>\u00a0took Tim Holt\u2019z\u00a0<\/span>Crazy Birds<\/a>\u00a0on a psychedelic 70\u2019s trip for this challenge.\u00a0 She used lots of \u00a0Tim Holtz Products<\/a>\u00a0and some unconventional ones, too – including tie-dying a paper towel with\u00a0<\/span>Distress Markers<\/a>\u00a0for a background and using a cotton ball and\u00a0<\/span>Distress Ink<\/a>\u00a0to create a wig for her hippie chickie.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> made a multi-dimensional notebook using Tim Holtz’s new Cityscape Metropolis<\/a> dies and Cityscape Suburbia<\/a> dies. \u00a0She added texture to her colorful city using Tim Holtz’s Vintage Design Tape<\/a> and topped off her scene with a rainbow.<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> loves words and decided to fill an entire frame<\/a> with Tim Holtz’s Quote Chips<\/a>. The chips were inked with Distress Inks<\/a> to create a very colorful project.<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/a> has created her little colorful \u00a0world with \u00a0a lot of Tim’s products: Distress oxides<\/a>, Sizzix Cityscape Skyline<\/a> and \u00a0Paper dolls<\/a>. She \u00a0has enclosed it \u00a0in a \u00a0new Idea-ology Mini framed panel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cathie<\/a>\u00a0created a spring cottage shadow box using the Tim Holtz Window & Window Box<\/a> die. She surrounded the window with a rainbow of beautiful flowers created with the Tim Holtz Small Tattered Florals<\/a> and Wildflowers<\/a> thinlits dies colored with a rainbow of Distress Ink<\/a> colors.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0used Tim Holtz Distress Paints to create\u00a0an explosion of rainbow colours on the background of her\u00a0canvas panel and built up layers by using\u00a0the\u00a0Mixed Media Thinlints Die<\/a>, together with the Layered Dragonfly<\/a>\u00a0coloured with Peacock Feathers Distress Paint<\/a> and a quote chip<\/a>\u00a0to complete the canvas.<\/p>\n

Kath<\/a>\u00a0used Distress Oxide inks<\/a>, Tim Holtz \u00a0Birch and Pine Stamp Set<\/a> and Layering Stencil\u00a0Splatters<\/a> to create a rainbow background on her card.<\/p>\n

Lols<\/a> used a Tim Holtz Mini Frame<\/a> to make a wall plaque using Mini Butterflies<\/a> and\u00a0Simon’s Exclusive Rainbow<\/a> and Chevron Cloud Dies<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Macarena<\/a>\u00a0made a rainbow background using Distress Inks<\/a> and placing a textured Caged Bird <\/a>colored with Prima Acrylic Paints<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maura<\/a> went a little cray cray with Tim Holtz’s Hipster stamps <\/a>and Eclectic Elements Craft Thread in blues and greens<\/a>, and yellow, orange and red<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> created a mixed media card with a rainbow background using Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain<\/a> and the sentiment using Tim Holtz Mini Motivation Stamp.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sandra<\/a> had so much fun trying out those Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink<\/a> for the first time creating a rainbow of colors along with the cool Cityscape Skyline die<\/a>.
