HOME DECOR<\/span><\/h1>\n

This week we are creating something to decorate our homes. It could be a canvas, a wall hanging, a candle holder, coaster, whatever you like! We will be looking forward to seeing what you make!<\/p>\n

We are showcasing PRIMA FLOWERS PRODUCTS<\/a> this week. You don’t have to use them to join in, but if you have them we would love to see them used<\/p>\n

Kassa<\/a>\u00a0decorated a\u00a0Prima Flowers Rust Birdcage<\/a><\/p>\n

I love butterflies, so I couldn’t resist giving the\u00a0Prima Flowers Rust Birdcage<\/a>\u00a0a coat of\u00a0Dina Wakley’s Turquoise Paint<\/a>\u00a0creating a haven for the beautiful butterflies on\u00a0Prima’s Love Letters Treasured Memories Stamp<\/a>. They look so bright do they look colourised with the\u00a0Prima Flowers Tropicals\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0Classics Watercolors<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Prima’s Watercolor pad\u00a0<\/a>once stamped and painted gave my background a lovely soft textured look which blended beautifully with the\u00a0Salvage District Marble Court Flowers<\/a>\u00a0in the foreground and there are a few sequins thrown in the mix too!<\/div>\n
Doodles and scribbles with\u00a0Prima’s Oil Pastel Crayons<\/a>\u00a0and plenty of Dyan Reaveley paint splats in\u00a0Lemon Zest<\/a>,\u00a0Bubblegum Pink<\/a>,\u00a0White Linen<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Black Marble<\/a>\u00a0sealed a fun creative session!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Andrea<\/a>\u00a0made a set of notebooks and pens using\u00a0Prima’s Garden Fable collection<\/a>.<\/div>\n

Do you ever feel like you had an epic idea, but can’t remember it?\u00a0\u00a0 I got tired of that happening to me, so I made a permanent place for two notebooks and pens to be kept: one for my hubby and one for me.\u00a0 This “his and hers” notebook set will be a great place for us to record our brilliant…or maybe not so brilliant ideas.\u00a0 I made these using Prima’s Garden Fable Matchboxes<\/a>, their Garden Fable Tags and Tickets<\/a> set and Prima’s Secret Garden Everyday Vintage Paintables 4 x 6 cards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> had fun weaving with Prima’s Desert Sunset Fiber Art Loom Kit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When I was a child, I loved weaving, but I hadn’t done it since then, which made working on this wall-hanging extra special. The colours of the Desert Sunset Loom Kit<\/a>\u00a0are so gorgeous and I only added a few additional fibers from my stash. The project was embellished with a Finnabair Tin Heart<\/a> and a Tim Holtz Number Brad<\/a>. While I worked on this, my son made a small carpet on my old loom.<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/a>\u00a0used\u00a0Prima Flowers Metallique Acrilyc Paint<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0to alter a frame<\/p>\n

First thing: I’m an absolute beginner in this style, but to play for this challenge it was so fun!! I’m in love with Prima Flowers Metallique Acrilyc Paint! I’ve chose my favourite color Emerald green Metallique <\/a>to alter this frame! All in this work is altered (the picture of my little girl too, Photoshop I love you!): Paper flower<\/a>, Prima metal flowers<\/a>, metal gears<\/a>, White Square Crochet Doilies<\/a>… To complete my project I added a quote that I love with Idea- ology Big chat stickers<\/a> and some Idea-ology gears<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cathie<\/a>\u00a0created a plaque using the Prima Tales of You and Me Collection<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I like to put little reminders around the house of how important it is to treat others. I chose the Tales of You and Me Collection<\/a> by Prima because of its beautiful, romantic theme. I used Prima Modeling Paste<\/a> to give the project texture and colored that with various distress crayons<\/a>. Adding beautiful Prima flowers<\/a> and lace trim<\/a> added the perfect touch.<\/p>\n

Cheiron <\/a>created a burlap canvas for her new craft room using some Prima Licorice Art Ingredients<\/a>\u00a0glass beads.<\/p>\n

I am working on setting up a new craft room and wanted to make a piece using the Tim Holtz Mosaic<\/a> die. I cut out a bunch of mosaics and painted them, and added different collage papers<\/a>, a curio knob<\/a>, a salvaged doll<\/a>, and a philosophy tag<\/a>. I used some\u00a0Prima Licorice Art Ingredients<\/a>\u00a0to give my project a little added texture.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0created her own piece of treasure using the Flaming Hearts Ex II Votos Relics and Artefacts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As soon as I saw these fabulous Relics and Artifacts casts<\/a> from Prima I decided to create a piece of bejewelled home decor, which would nestle inside a wooden tray<\/a>. I applied\u00a0PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Paint<\/a>\u00a0to the tray before adding layers of Frayed Burlap Distress Paint over the top for a more, worn vintage look. I painted my flaming heart using Opal Magic Blue\/Gold Acrylic Paint<\/a> and then added some sparkle with Gold Rush\u00a0glass glitter<\/a> and mini art stones<\/a>. As a finishing touch, I used a Tim Holtz word band<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nI created the background by applying a coat of Prima White Heavy Gesso<\/a>\u00a0and strips of paper from Prima Life Time A4 Paper Pad<\/a> and used Tim Holtz HalfTone and Ring stamp set<\/a> inked with Archival Black<\/a> and Gathered Twigs Distress<\/a> Inks. I added Prima “The Archivist” Statement Stickers<\/a> and created lots of texture with the Splatters Mini Stencil from Set 3<\/a> and Wendy Vecchi Crackle Embossing Paste<\/a> and Art Basics 3D Matte Gel Transparent Paste<\/a> mixed with Mini Art Stones<\/a>. I spritzed the Penmanship Flowers<\/a> with Tattered Rose Distress Spray Stain <\/a>and coloured the leaves with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I added \u00a0word stickers and metal embellishments to finish off.<\/p>\n

Lols<\/a>\u00a0decorated an Antique White Frameworks Metal Birdcage<\/a>\u00a0with Penmanship Flowers<\/a> to brighten up her craft room.<\/p>\n

As soon as I saw these gorgeous birdcages<\/a> I had to have one! I started by adhering a piece of Melange Tissue Wrap<\/a> to the back panel and then inked with Pumice Stone<\/a> and Tumbled Glass<\/a> Inks. I then sprayed with Sparkle Shimmer<\/a> before using a Bubble Stencil <\/a>and White Embossing Paste <\/a>down one side. While it was still wet I gave it a liberal sprinkling with Pumice Stone Distress Glitter<\/a>. I die cut a butterfly<\/a> and embossed before adding Prisma Glitter<\/a>, which is super sparkly. I made a mirror using my Silhouette Cameo<\/a> and then glued everything in place. I sprayed the\u00a0Penmanship Flowers<\/a>\u00a0with Pumice Stone Spray <\/a>and Sparkle Shimmer<\/a> and then used a Glue Gun <\/a>to position them. I really love how this has turned out!<\/p>\n

Macarena<\/a>\u00a0made an encouraging shadow box for herself

It’s not a big thing and has approx. 20×15 cm but can contain lots of details!\u00a0The base was covered with a layer of White Gesso and randomly painted with Distress Stains: Pumice Stone<\/a>, Weathered Wood<\/a>, Tumlbed Glass<\/a> and Shabby Shutters<\/a> and sprayed with water to let the colors blend naturally.\u00a0After that I touched it randomly with Black Dylusions Paint<\/a> and White Gesso. The inside corners were painted with Vintage Photo Distress Stain<\/a> and blended with water again.\u00a0After putting all the walls together I could start the best part: embellishing.\u00a0There are stamps by Tim Holtz<\/a> and Wendi Vecchi<\/a> and Idea-ology rub-ons<\/a>, some metal and wooden elements from my old stash, flower ribbon and pieces of natural light wood taken from a pout-pourri set :-)\u00a0To give the softiness I put some Wildflowers<\/a> and a resin embellishment.<\/p>\n

I had fun altering the rusty birdcage with several Prima Art Alchemy paints like Emerald Green<\/a>, Brass Hardware<\/a>, and Ancient Coin<\/a>. Then, I added a layer with Finnabair’s Alpha stencil<\/a> and my favorite black ink, Ranger Archival Jet Black<\/a>. Just as I was finishing, this delightful moth flew in and landed, courtesy of Prima, the Winged Moth Stamp-N-Add<\/a>. Love that little spigot body with wings!<\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a><\/span><\/span> was inspired to create a mixed media canvas for her craft room using\u00a0\u00a0Prima Flowers Modeling Paste<\/a>

\nI’ve collected many beautiful mixed media canvases for my home decoration. This week, I wanted to create another one. On this burlap canvas, I made the texture on the background with Prima Flowers Modeling Paste<\/a> and colored it with Tim Holtz Distress Paints.<\/a> Some Tim Holtz metal embellishments<\/a> were attached for more interest.<\/p>\n

Sandra<\/a> made a canvas with\u00a0a few\u00a0Prima Archivist Chipboard stickers<\/a>\u00a0and lots of other Prima products

\nIt’s been a while since I made a canvas, and so I was happy that this challenge came along. I had so much fun using lots of Prima products<\/a>, like my favorite metallic paint the Opal Magic<\/a>, also the\u00a0Checkered<\/a> and Jagged Lines<\/a> stamps, and lots of metal trinkets from the Sunset Sunrise collection<\/a>. I made a big mess using the Prima Glitter<\/a>,\u00a0but I so love the result of it.<\/p>\n

Zoey<\/a>\u00a0had fun using Prima Marketing Mica Powder<\/a>\u00a0to alter this canvas<\/p>\n

I love Prima Marketing Mica Powder, they are so bright! I used Prima Marketing White Sand texture paste through a Prima Marketing Stencil and then I used pieces from the Archivist Chipboard Stickers and More<\/a>\u00a0to add decorations and create the layout. The butterfly and the stamps from the Don’t Forget to Fly Cling Stamp<\/a>\u00a0were a perfect match and the Prima Flowers Reflection Timeless memories<\/a>\u00a0were the perfect final touch!<\/p>\n
