Amber\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0decided to get a little messy on a 6×6 wooden canvas.<\/p>\n

I used teal and gray acrylic paints on the background. Then tinted some embossing paste<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0Vintage Photo distress paint<\/a>\u00a0and applied it using the\u00a0Moroccan Stencil<\/a>.\u00a0After it was dry, I used\u00a0Watering Can<\/a>\u00a0ink with the\u00a0Dot Fade<\/a>\u00a0stencil and\u00a0Orange Blossom<\/a>\u00a0ink with the\u00a0Cargo<\/a>\u00a0stencil. Then I flicked and dripped black ink and\u00a0Antique Bronze<\/a>,\u00a0Tarnished Brass<\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0Fossilized Amber<\/a>\u00a0spray stains.\u00a0Black Licorice<\/a>\u00a0gelato is smudged along the edges. I used a Stamptember exclusive coffee stamp, which is slightly smaller than\u00a0this one<\/a>, for my image. I colored it with a waterbrush and\u00a0Tea Dye<\/a>,\u00a0Gathered Twigs<\/a>,\u00a0 \u00a0Peacock Feathers<\/a>, and\u00a0Fossilized Amber<\/a>\u00a0distress ink.<\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> is a hot chocolate fanatic and made some snazzy cocoa gift tags.<\/p>\n

I have found that no matter what time of year it is, there’s a reason to have hot chocolate.\u00a0 I adore it and decided to make some gift tags to attach to boxes and packets of hot cocoa for my other chocaholic friends.\u00a0 I love Neat and Tangled’s new Perfect Blend stamp set<\/a> and Tim Holtz’s Big Chat sentiment stickers<\/a> are perfect for any occasion.\u00a0 I also love to include colored Crinkle Ribbon<\/a> and Doodlebug doilies <\/a>into my packaging.<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> thought of best friends sharing a cup of tea.<\/p>\n

Sometimes best friends can be pretty different from each other, and I thought it was fun to pair up the Crazy Cats<\/a> and Mini Bird Crazy and Things<\/a> stamps to convey this. A shadow box was created using Tim Holtz Vignette Box<\/a>. I also added various drink related embellishments, such as a smoothie cup<\/a> with two straws and a small tea cup<\/a>, shared between the friends.<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/a> \u00a0thinks that rabbits love carrots!<\/p>\n

I couldn’t wait to use new Vignette Box<\/a>! I enjoyed to alter it \u00a0with \u00a0Distress paints<\/a> \u00a0to create a little Easter scene! Tim Holtz’s \u00a0bunny <\/a>is perfect and so cute , \u00a0I \u00a0used \u00a0new Tim Holtz Sizzix Wildflowers<\/a> \u00a0to compleate spring landscape! To stay on the topic \u00a0of the week I made some little carrots \u00a0for my bunny! \u00a0Do you believe that there is a rabbit who doesn’t like carrots??<\/p>\n

I stepped away from the bright colors this week to create a coffee themed canvas. I love my coffee in the morning and thought this sentiment pretty much sums up how I feel each morning when I try to tackle my day. \u00a0I had a lot of fun creating this one using Tim Holtz Fresh Brewed<\/a> stamps, Splatters<\/a> and Speckles<\/a> Stencils along with distress markers<\/a> and inks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cheiron<\/a> made a card with her favorite drink…cappuccino.<\/p>\n

I made a super simple and fun cappuccino themed card this week using the Perfect Blend<\/a> set from Neat and Tangled. \u00a0I layered the stamps on top of a panel that I made using the Punchinella die<\/a> and a piece of Distress Woodgrain Cardstock<\/a> colored with Distress Paints in Victorian Velvet<\/a>, Aged Mahogany,<\/a> and Gathered Twigs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0loved creating “sweet” gifts to give to friends and family at Easter!<\/p>\n

\"EmmaFood&Drink\"<\/a><\/p>\n

With Easter just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to create some seasonal gifts using Tim Holtz’s Mini Mason Jars<\/a> and a few of my crazy feathered friends! I decorated these cute jars using tags cut from kraft card and stamped with the Dots Background Stamp<\/a>\u00a0before I added both the mini <\/a>and regular Bird Crazy<\/a>\u00a0images,\u00a0together with some spring coloured\u00a0tiny tattered florals<\/a>. As an added touch, I made a matching Easter card, decorated with more of the Tiny Tattered Florals.<\/p>\n

Kath<\/a>\u00a0is a real coffee addict and made a Chalkboard for her kitchen<\/p>\n

I used Versamark Ink<\/a>, Ranger Frosted Crystal Antiquities Embossing Powder<\/a> and a stick of school chalk to create the chalkboard effect on my hanger along with the Coffee Time<\/a> stamp set from Darkroom Door and Prima Life Time A4 Paper Pad<\/a> and I couldn’t resist adding a gorgeous Tattered Poinsettia<\/a> die cut from Sticky Back Canvas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lols <\/a>made a birthday card for a cat loving friend.<\/p>\n

I really love the Crazy Cats \u00a0<\/a>and the Mini Bird Crazy and Things <\/a>\u00a0sets and wanted to make a card for \u00a0a dear friend who is celebrating a special birthday. Unfortunately the bird ate the fishy gift he was intending to give so the cat is looking slightly miffed. I used a Dot Fade<\/a> and Splatter Stencils<\/a>\u00a0 together with Stormy Sky Ink<\/a> and White Embossing Paste<\/a> for the background. For the grass I tore a strip of scratch paper and used that as a mask before blending with Mowed Lawn<\/a> ink and then I used a brown pencil <\/a>to dirty it up a bit.<\/p>\n

Macarena <\/a>made a\u00a0centerpiece for the upcoming Easter Hollidays from egg tray!<\/p>\n

This is my first time altering the egg tray but I absolutely loved it. The whole tray was covered with\u00a0white gesso<\/a>, not too precisely because I wanted the surface to be irregular and some parts of the tray were left uncovered. After that I put some coarse texture paste randomly and dried it. I put different pieces of textiles, gauze,\u00a0twine<\/a>, cotton tape, coconut fibre and glued them to the tray.\u00a0I started to\u00a0blending<\/a>\u00a0distress inks (yellow<\/a>,\u00a0green\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0violet<\/a>) randomly and spraying with water to let them spill naturally and obtain different shades of colors. After my tray was ready to be embellished, I stamped lots of\u00a0Artful Flowers<\/a>\u00a0and some\u00a0Crazy Birds<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0Jet Black<\/a>\u00a0ink on the\u00a0Canson Watercolor<\/a>\u00a0paper pad.\u00a0Cut them all out and started to coloring using the\u00a0Blending Tool<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Refills<\/a>\u00a0one per each color. After all the flowers and birds were colored, I sprayed them a little bit with water letting the colors mix together and also to receive some clearer dots on the inked elements. I also covered the small eggs with the same colors of distress inks. I glues all the elements with\u00a03D foam<\/a>\u00a0squares.<\/p>\n

Maura<\/a> is coloring Easter eggs this week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\"EasterTreats\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Baskets, colored eggs, Easter egg trees, it’s time to get ready for this special day. I made my own eggs using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Ovals <\/a>die set. They worked perfectly for the egg ornaments and the tags. Ranger black archival ink<\/a> is my go to ink to use with watercolors. Tim Holtz’s Easter mini blueprint stamps<\/a> fit my tags just right. For the finishing touch, a bit of glitter with the Wink of Stella clear glitter brush<\/a>, which is so easy to use.<\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> created a mixed media tag with her favorite elements.<\/p>\n

It’s always great to have a cup of coffee or tea when you are creating. This week, I mixed many elements that I love on this tag. The background was colored with Koi watercolors <\/a>and ColorBox inkpads<\/a>. I stamped the cup image with Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp<\/a> and attached it on the tag with Tombow Adhesive<\/a>.The SMILE sentiment was die cut using Tim Holtz Friendship die<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sandra<\/a> made an art journal spread based on\u00a0food and drink named products

\nI was struggling a bit with this challenge, and I started out with some liquor and milk labels from the\u00a0Ephemera Melange<\/a>. But those got covered up, and I had to go back to the drawing board. Then I thought of using food and drink named products, like Coffee Archival Ink<\/a>, and Ground Espresso<\/a> Distress Ink. I already used Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmelade Distress Crayons<\/a>. Love those!<\/p>\n

Zoey<\/a>\u00a0celebrate’s a friend birthday with Distress Markers<\/a><\/p>\n

I added color to a piece of White Sticky-Back Canvas by Ranger<\/a>\u00a0using Dylusions Paint<\/a> and a brayer<\/a>. I cut shapes from manila pape<\/a>r and created my cake that I colored with a bunch of Distress Markers<\/a>. I layered the canvas over a piece of cardstock from Simple Stories Summer Vibe pad<\/a>\u00a0and over a left over from that paper I stamped my Happy Birthday stamp and I used Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp Crazy Talk<\/a>.<\/p>\n
