Hi all and welcome to another week on the\u00a0Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n

This week the challenge is,<\/p>\n

SPRITZ AND SPRAY<\/span><\/h2>\n

There are so many sprays available from lots of different manufacturers, but you can also make your own and tailor make the colors to suit your project! We will be looking forward to seeing what you choose to use!<\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> was spritzing up a storm to make this colorful trio of tags.<\/p>\n

When it comes to bold saturated color, I love to combine ink sprays with Distress Ink<\/a>, then drip water here and there to create even more splotches of color.\u00a0 Dylusions ink sprays, such as Tangerine Dream<\/a>, are so vibrant.\u00a0 I also adore the empowering words that are part of Dina Wakley’s All the Gals<\/a> stamp set.<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> likes to use light colours of mist to create backgrounds.<\/p>\n

Mists go perfectly together with stencils, and here I used Dylusions\u00a0stencils<\/a> as a stamp together with Distress Spray Stains<\/a> to create a soft watercolour background for my layout. Colouring something with mist is super fast and some of the die cut embellishments were also misted, such as the Butterfly Duo<\/a> by Tim Holtz and the pretty Simon Says Stamp Bird of Roses<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/a> loves the bright colors! She enjoyed to create a colorful rainbow with Distress Sprays!<\/p>\n

I absolutely love this challenge! Sprays are \u00a0some of my favourite products and I adore to work with them! I had fun coloring a rainbow with Distress Sprays<\/a> to surround the globe<\/a> and to play with stencils<\/a> and stamps<\/a>, creating a \u00a0contrast with gray color to the external of my canvas. I believe <\/a>in the magic of colors!<\/p>\n

Cheiron<\/a>\u00a0always loves to create distress stain tags for her art journal.<\/p>\n

This week I played around with a few of my favorite colors of Distress Spray Stains to create some tags for my art journal. I used 3 of my favorite colors Squeezed Lemonade<\/a>, Twisted Citron<\/a> and Blueprint Sketch<\/a> to create my background. I stamped the sentiment using Dina Wakley’s Scribbly Alphabet <\/a>and the background with shapes from the Primitive Icons<\/a> and Woodcuts<\/a>\u00a0sets.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0is feeling the love for sprays and mists this week.<\/p>\n

I love how you can create such different effects using sprays and mists and inspired by a piece of Victorian tapestry, I created a Valentine’s card using sprays and the Distress Marker Spritzer<\/a> to create three layered pieces and backgrounds on this one project. I began by spritzing\u00a0Candied Apple Distress Spray Stain<\/a> through the Flourish Layering Stencil <\/a>onto a piece of burlap before mounting it onto a background of card, covered with torn Tissue Wrap<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0spritzed with Distress Spray Stains including the beautiful Antiqued Bronze. I completed the card with a die cut heart<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maura<\/a> is playing with sprays and papers to make Valentines for her sweeties.<\/p>\n

This week, I am testing out some different papers to see how the sprays react on my four cards. I love using my Simon Says Stamp Sketch Heart die <\/a>which works as a stencil and an embellishment. I played with three different brands of spray, wondering how well they would work together, which was great by the way. Prima Color Bloom in Iris<\/a>, Dylusions Funky Fuchsia<\/a>, and Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral Distress Spray<\/a> gave me a fun color mix.<\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag \u00a0this week.<\/p>\n

\"Meihsia<\/a>
\nDistress Spray Stain<\/a> is one of my favorite coloring product and was used on most of my mixed media project. On the background of this tag, I sprayed Distress Spray Stain over Tim Holrz Layering Stencil<\/a>, and embossed the pattern with ColorBox Clear Embossing Powder<\/a>. Some motivational \u00a0sentiments were added using Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nI’m in love with the Wooden Plank<\/a> background stamp. So I used it for this card as a starting point for my background. Of course I needed to get some sprays out, and grabbed Cracked Pistachio<\/a> and Peacock Feathers<\/a> Distress Spray Stains along with the ZigZag<\/a> stencil.<\/p>\n
