Welcome to the first theme of 2024 on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A NEW START<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it\u2019s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand\/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Brutus Monroe<\/a>. You don\u2019t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rox<\/a> created a page in her Dina Wakley Art Journal <\/a>using some gorgeous new Brutus Monroe Fairy Portal Layering Stencils<\/a> along with Distress Inks <\/a>and a Distress Sprayer<\/a>. The sentiments are from a Dina Wakley Typed Ledger <\/a>and she used a Tim Holtz Paper Doll<\/a> and Transparent Wings<\/a>. She layered the piece on Gold Metallic Cardstock<\/a> and machine stitched around the edge to finish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea<\/a> made a tag notebook using Brutus Monroe Mixed Media Tags<\/a> and Brutus Monroe Alabaster Ultra Fine Embossing Powder<\/a>. She also used two of her favorite stamp sets from Tim Holtz: Sideshow<\/a> and Media Marks 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made a New Year’s Tag this week with lots of gold and glitter. The background was made with Brutus Monroe Lots of Lines Slimline stencil<\/a>. The foliage was die cut with Simon Says Stamp Berry Stems<\/a> and Tim Holtz Festive Gatherings<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a> created a card to wish everyone a Happy New Year! She chose to create a card using the Mega Thick White Cardstock by Simon Says Stamp<\/a> for the background and the pine cones in the center, the 3D Embossing Folder Lumber die by Tim Holtz Sizzix<\/a> together with the Cinnamon Sugar Embossing Powder by Brutus Monroe<\/a>. The sentiment was taken from the Christmastime 2 set by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous<\/a> and used with Ranger Ink’s Vintage Pearl Embossing Powder<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheiron<\/a> was still hanging on to her Christmas supplies and created a fun New Year’s card using the letters and banner in the Santa Greetings<\/a> set. She added a ton of sparkle with Brutus Monroe Shimmer Splash in GIlded<\/a> and tons of stars cut from Metallic<\/a> Kraft Stock using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Falling Stars<\/a> die. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma<\/a> is looking forward to a new year and decided to welcome 2024 by making an Art Deco inspired card. She used the Brutus Monroe Macrame Stencil<\/a> to create a gold embossed faux enamelled background and combined this with Tim Holtz\/Sizzix dies, including Tailored Thinlits Die Set<\/a>, Falling Stars<\/a> and Bold Alphanumeric<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kath <\/a>created a card to welcome in the new year and wish you all a very happy and healthy 2024 using Brutus Monroe<\/a> Watercolor Galaxy 6″ x 6″ papers<\/a>, Tim Holtz\/Stampers Anonymous BottleBrush Trees<\/a>, Retro Flakes<\/a>, Sizzix Alphanumeric Bold Thinlits<\/a>, Simon Says BottleBrush Trees<\/a>, Stitched Slopes<\/a>, Winter Village<\/a> and Harmony Snowflakes<\/a> dies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lols <\/a>made a card for her daughter who is just starting a new job! She used a Brutus Monroe Flower Market Paper Pack<\/a>, Heat Resistant Vellum Sheets<\/a> and Sterling Sparkle Embossing Powder<\/a>. She machine stitched the vellum to the patterned paper, to create a shaker pouch, and added a Honey Bee Lovely Layers Wildflower<\/a> and a Tim Holtz Small Talk Sentiment Sticker<\/a> to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> wishes each of you a new year filled with joy. She headed to her art journal and created a page to begin the year, using Brutus Monroe’s Aqua Pigments of Rust,<\/a> Dorothy<\/a> and Wicked Witch.<\/a> She added more texture with the Brutus Monroe Slimline Weave stencil<\/a> and Simon Says Stamp Paprika Pawsitively Saturated ink.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Brutus Monroe Dream Bigger Stamp and Die Bundle<\/a> and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Pad Set Of 12 Ranger<\/a> to create a dream catcher, and added sentiments using Tim Holtz Idea-ology METALLIC Sticker Book<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She used Tim Holtz Sizzix Alphanumeric Stretch Lower and Numbers Thinlits Dies<\/a> to spell “2024”. She used Brutus Monroe Not Your Mama’s cardstock<\/a> for the back of the panel<\/p>\n\n\n\n
