Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grunge It Up <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it\u2019s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand\/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Carabelle Studio<\/a>. You don\u2019t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp<\/a> are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! <\/a>All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week\u2019s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we\u2019re welcoming back the lovely Anita Rao<\/a> into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anita<\/a> made a grungy zine journal with thin layers of acrylic paints<\/a> applied using a Gel Press 8 x 10 Reusable Gel Printing Plate<\/a>. In the background, she used Carabelle Studio Garlands of Leaves Stamp<\/a>, and for the insects, she used various stamps from Tim Holtz Entomology<\/a> stamp set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea<\/a> made a happy-grungy tag using Carabelle Studio’s Head and Shoulders<\/a> stamp set. She used AALL & Create’s Tag it Yourself<\/a> die set to get some great tattered edges. She also used Studio Light’s Scallop Fun<\/a> die (Art by Marlene).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> started to make an Artist Trading Card and then decided to place it on a card and add a grungy background. She used Carabelle Studio Raton Laveur Small<\/a> stamp for the cute focal image. The background was embossed in Tim Holtz’s 3-D Mosaic folder<\/a> and misted with Distress Spray Stain<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a> created a tag using as her focal point a tree from the stamps set Winter Woodlands by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous.<\/a> She chose a stencil from Carabelle Studio, Constellation,<\/a> to create the snowy effect on the tree also added Ranger Rock Candy Glitter<\/a> to give a little bit of sparkle to the tag<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheiron<\/a> used the Carabelle Studios Hamsa <\/a>stamp as the focal point on her card created a grungy watercolor background using Distress Ink Reinkers<\/a>, Stoked Dina Wakley Gloss<\/a>, and the Tim Holtz Speckles<\/a> and Numbered<\/a> Layering stencils. She finished her card with a sentiment from the Noteworthy<\/a> stamp set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma<\/a> created a Stampers Anonymous Etcetera Panel<\/a>, and used the Carabelle Studios Mix & Match Stencil Set<\/a> to create a textured background. She used The Scarecrow Stamp Set by Tim Holtz<\/a> as her focal point and surrounded the image with Sizzix\/Tim Holtz Funky Floral 3<\/a> and Modern Floristry Die Cuts<\/a> before completing the piece with a grungy Large Hinge Clip<\/a> and Hardware Heads<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kath<\/a> created an Autumn card using Peeled Paint<\/a> and Rusty Hinge<\/a> Distress Oxide inks for her colour theme and Carabelle Studio Entomologie Le Papillon<\/a> for the focal point. She added texture with Simon Says Wistful Leaves Embossing Folder<\/a>, Tim Holtz\/Stampers Anonymous Berry Leaves Mini Layering Stencil<\/a> with Black Distress Texture Paste<\/a> and stamped the leaves and sentiment using Simon Says Cozy Autumn Hugs stamp set<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macarena<\/a> made a 50th Birthday card using a Carabelle Studio A Ladybug’s Dream stamp<\/a> for the background. The numbers were made with Tim Holtz Element Stencil Mechanical<\/a>. She also added a suitcase hand from Stamperia Lady Vagabond Lifestyle Suitcase<\/a> mold to give some more dimension. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> got grungy in her art journal using Carabelle Studio’s Dans Mon Art Journal stamp,<\/a> Tim Holtz’s Ringer Layering Stencil<\/a>, Tim Holtz Label Quote Chips<\/a>, and one of her favorite art journals – Ranger Dylusions Creative 8×8 Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Clear Stamps and Stencil NOTEWORTHY<\/a> on the background, and decorated it with Carabelle Studio FACE IT! Cling Stamps<\/a> and Tim Holtz Idea-ology LABEL STICKERS THOUGHTS<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoey<\/a> used Tim Holtz Layering Stencil Cargo<\/a> and Distress Spray Ink<\/a> to create the background. She also used Distress Resist Spray<\/a> to create a resist effect over the inked background. Tim Holtz Sizzix Leaf Fragments<\/a> are perfect to create a grunge effect, she used Distress Ink<\/a> to grunge them up and used embellishments from ideaology<\/a> to decorate it even more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
