Hi all and welcome to another week on the\u00a0Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n

Thank you for joining us for the Watercolor Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.<\/p>\n

This week the challenge is<\/p>\n

THE MONSTER MASH<\/span><\/h2>\n

With Halloween fast approaching it’s time to think of all things spooky and ghoulish, or you could have a huge monster of a project that you would like to finish, whatever you make for this challenge we will be looking forward to seeing your creations while peeking from behind the safety of the door ;-)<\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> thought it was time for a monster party!<\/p>\n

Oh what fun I had with the new Tim Holtz Village Dwelling die<\/a>!\u00a0 I decided to make a hip Halloween house.\u00a0 It’s just the perfect place for a monster (courtesy of Paper Smooches Ghoulfriends<\/a> stamp set) and a pumpkin, bat and ghost\u00a0 (My Favorite Things Frightfully Fun<\/a> stamp set) to get the party started!<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> had such fun making her embossed monster.<\/p>\n

The Tim Holtz Monster <\/a>is such a fun die set and I really enjoyed assembling my monster. All the pieces were embossed with different embossing powders<\/a>. The powders give the monster fun textures and a cool enamel look. I placed him on a panel decorated with idea-ology papers and embellishments<\/a>, to hang from a Flip Frame<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This year Barbara<\/a> can’t stop to create for Halloween!<\/p>\n

Halloween is really close and I wanted to turn the new “Village Dwelling Die<\/a>” by Tim holtz into a frightening haunted house! Ingredients of my recipe: Black soot<\/a> and Ground espresso<\/a>, ghosts<\/a>, pumpkins<\/a> and cats<\/a>! I scared\u00a0 you????<\/p>\n

Cheiron<\/a> created a monster with spooky red gumdrop eyes.<\/p>\n

I love the new Tim Holtz Monster<\/a> die, and I wanted to create a card with him that would really stand out. I love using Gumdrops<\/a> and coloring them with alcohol inks…and these gumdrops I colored red were perfect for monster eyes. A few fun Halloween ephemera pieces from the Frightful<\/a>\u00a0ephemera pack finished off the card.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0created a Halloween gift box full of monster bites!<\/p>\n

When it comes to Halloween, I love creating little table decorations full of tricks and treats and this challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to create a dimensional gift box with a pull out drawer that can be filled with chocolate. I used the vampire die<\/a> as my main focal point and surrounded it with other spine tingling elements including a coffin created with the wonderful Tim Holtz die<\/a>, corked vials<\/a> and a wreath<\/a>, dyed with Black Soot Distress Stain for added spookiness.<\/p>\n

Maura<\/a>\u00a0has her eye on some broomstick riding.<\/p>\n

Boy, have I had fun with this tag! What other time of the year does lime green, orange and purple look so good together? Of course, I had to use my crazy bird stamps<\/a>\u00a0with their accessories<\/a>. Tim Holtz’s Apothecary remnant rubs<\/a>\u00a0and Curiosities<\/a>\u00a0work beautifully with distress inks. For a fun twist, check out the “green feathers” made with Simon’s One with Nature stamp set.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to created a Halloween tag.
\n\"Meihsia<\/a><\/p>\n

It’s always fun to create Halloween projects with some monster and spooky elements. On my tag this week, I used Crackle Paints<\/a> on the background, and Tim Holtz Rubber Stamps<\/a>\u00a02015 Undertaker on the embellishments. Some Idea-Ology Curiosities Remnant Rubs<\/a> were randomly added for more interest.<\/p>\n

Michelle<\/a>\u00a0is never going to be able to tame the Candy Monsters in her family.<\/p>\n

Using my Sizzix<\/a>, I gave life to a couple of Candy Monsters! The Jar and Spoon Scoreboards Die<\/a> was a fun way to create the little ghouls. The Prima Crackle Stamp<\/a> added a little texture, aka “Monster Spots,” without being too<\/em> scary. What’s really frightening, is the amount of calories they’re dishing out. Now that<\/em> is scary!<\/p>\n

Sandra<\/a> loves Halloween and it’s Monster Mash

\nFor me there is no bigger Monster Mash as for Halloween. I was inspired by the Undertaker<\/a> stamp from Tim Holtz. I dry embossed the background with Halloween Backgrounds<\/a> embossing folder. The rich color is from the Crushed Grapes Dylusions Spray<\/a> and the raised areas I went over with Black Soot Distress Ink<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Suzz<\/a> loves the little monsters from the Simon Says Stamp Monster Hugs<\/a> set.<\/p>\n

I knew I wanted to take these cute monsters and set them in a scary Halloween setting.\u00a0 I used the My Favorite Things Brick Wall Stencil<\/a> with the Ranger Distress inks Tumbled Glass<\/a> to create a soft background on a leftover scrap of inky goodness.\u00a0 I drew in a scary shadow along with a stenciled tree to create my spooky scene.<\/p>\n
