As it\u2019s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand\/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Brutus Monroe<\/a>. You don\u2019t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week we\u2019re welcoming the back the lovely Natasha Vacca aka Natasha’s Colorful Creations,<\/a>  into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natasha<\/a> card today features bright colors and pops of texture featuring the\u00a0Flowering Vine Stencil from Brutus Monroe<\/a>\u00a0in the background.\u00a0The background was created using\u00a0Color Burst Powders<\/a>\u00a0using the\u00a0Dots of Dots Stencil from Simon Says Stamps<\/a>.\u00a0 She added texture to the card panel using crackle paste, stamps from\u00a0Stampers Anonymous<\/a>, splatters,\u00a0distress crayons<\/a>, and\u00a0paper glaze<\/a>.\u00a0 To complete her card she chose the\u00a0Etched Flower Buds\u00a0<\/a>die cut as her focal image.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea<\/a> loved the map image, which made her think of summer travel adventures. She used a Brutus Monroe Mixed Media Tag<\/a> as the base and used Paper Rose’s Pebble Stack Die<\/a> as the focal point. She also utilized Darkroom Door’s Open Dots Background Stamp<\/a> and Dina Wakley’s Scribble Sticks 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made two small wall-hangers this week featuring glow in the dark butterflies. She used Brutus Monroe Glow In The Dark embossing powder<\/a> to emboss the butterflies and the effect is really cool. The mood board inspired her to use some old map paper in the background. The butterflies were die cut with Tim Holtz Scribbly Butterflies<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a>‘s tags today are inspired by the bright colors of summer! To make the backgrounds she used Ranger Distress Ink Pads<\/a> and two stencils from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, Nature<\/a> and Rays<\/a>. To create the sun rays she used Brutus Monroe’s Icicle Embossing Powder<\/a> along with the stencil. For the center, she chose Sizzix’s Tim Holtz Funky Cactus Thinlits Dies.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma<\/a>‘s card was inspired by the flamingo on the moodboard and she used the Tim Holtz\/Sizzix Colorize Die set to create Gladys<\/a> who is set against a background using the Brutus Monroe Flowering Vine Mixed Media Stencil<\/a>. She finished her card with an arrangement of foliage die cut using the Large Funky Floral die<\/a> and Bouquet Findings<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kath<\/a> created a card inspired by blue skies and the colour of the flowers in her garden using Brutus Monroe Flowering Vine Mixed Media Stencil<\/a>, Distress Crackle Texture Paste<\/a>, Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glazes <\/a>and an Idea-ology Quote Chip Label<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lols <\/a>was inspired by the adorable flamingo on the moodboard and used a Tim Holtz Colorize Gladys<\/a> for her card. For the beach scene background she used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks<\/a> and Brutus Monroe Sterling Sparkle<\/a> and Gilded Sparkle Embossing Powders<\/a> along with Katzelkraft Les Nuages<\/a> white embossed clouds. She added Tim Holtz Funky Florals<\/a> ‘Palm Tree’ foliage and finished with a Small Talk Sticker<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macarena<\/a> made a summer card with Tim Holtz Gladys Colorize<\/a> taking a sweet picture with Stamperia Travel Accessories<\/a> soft mold touched with Brutus Monroe Sterling Sparkle<\/a> embossing powder. She’s going on vacation with some suitcases from Tim Holtz Baggage Claim<\/a> dies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> was inspired by the water and colors in the Summer Mood Board to create her tag. She used the Brutus Monroe Looking Sharp stamp set<\/a>, and Simon Says Stamp’s Mermaid Scales stencil <\/a>on a Studio Light Art by Marlene Tab Tag.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Brutus Monroe LOTUS FLOWER 6×6 Stencil<\/a> on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps CRAZY DOGS<\/a> and Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps ARTFUL VOYAGE<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoey<\/a> was inspired by the Ferris Wheel Image and from the colors from the first middle photo. She used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Photographic Collage Paper<\/a> that has a beautiful Ferris Wheel on it and she also used a bunch of Distress Ink<\/a> + Paint<\/a> for the background. She used Brutus Monroe triple thick embossing dip<\/a> to create the enamel effect of the circles behind her cluster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
