Hi all and welcome to another week on the\u00a0Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0Wonderful Watercolor<\/span><\/h2>\n

Watercoloring is a very trendy topic right now and there are is a whole array new and exciting products entering the market! Paint Cakes, Pencils, Pens, Ink Pads and much more. \u00a0I am sure most of you will have something, if not you can try watercoloring with tea, coffee or whatever else you can think of!<\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> made a nest out of watercolored paper strips.<\/p>\n

I used my handy-dandy watercolors<\/a> to paint some patterned paper from Prima’s Garden Fable<\/a> collection and Tim Holtz’s Correspondence<\/a> collection.\u00a0 Then I went to town with some scissors to give my bird a nifty nest!<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin <\/a>made a new notebook with a watercolour cover.<\/p>\n

Watercolours is maybe my favourite medium and this week I had such fun making a notebook for myself. The cover is made from watercolour canvas<\/a>. I embossed a Simon Says Stamp background stamp <\/a>on the cover and used Brusho Crystals<\/a> to add colour. The title was done with the new Billboard Alphabet<\/a> die by Tim Holtz and I also used some stamps.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Barbara<\/a> loves to use watercolors in a non traditional way!<\/p>\n

Today I decided to use watercolors to create my background! With the help of Distress\u00a0Stain Spray<\/a>
\nand Distress watercolor\u00a0cardstock<\/a>, I created a background into the Halloween spirit for my card!\u00a0\u00a0Is quite scary my skull<\/a> ?<\/p>\n

Cheiron<\/a> played around with her favorite watercolor set.<\/p>\n

I wanted to take out my Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi<\/a> set and make a bunch of fall colored thank you notes. I mixed up some turquoise, burnt orange and golden yellow for fall and made a few Watercolor Distress<\/a>\u00a0panels to use for future cards. The bold many thanks in Simon Says Stamp\/WPlus 9 Many Thanks <\/a>set was a great greeting to use with it and a spritz of Krylon gold pen<\/a> adds the perfect finishing touch.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0created a vision of blue.<\/p>\n

\"Watercolour\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Inspired by childhood dreams of wanting to become a fashion designer, I created a canvas in shades of blue using Tim Holtz’s Runway stamps<\/a> as the main focal point, stamped onto watercolour card and watercolored with a wash of Mermaid Lagoon<\/a> and Blueprint Sketch<\/a> Distress Stains. To complete my sketchy fashion canvas, I added buttons, ripped pieces of Eclectic Elements fabric<\/a> and a paintbrush dipped into Broken China Distress Paint.<\/p>\n

Lols<\/a>\u00a0is discovering a love of watercoloring with Distress Ink Pads<\/a>!<\/p>\n

I \u00a0love the Bird Crazy Stamp and Die Set<\/a> and I recently bought the Crazy Things Stamp Set<\/a> to go with it, I was just itching to make a Halloween card with them! I used a combination of \u00a0Stormy Sky<\/a>, Dusty Concord<\/a> and Spiced Marmalade <\/a>for the background, and Peeled Paint<\/a> and Spiced Marmalade<\/a> for the bird. I hung the lantern on a ‘hook’ and the little black kitten<\/a> just jumped up onto the broomstick when I wasn’t looking!<\/p>\n

Maura<\/a>\u00a0is sharing some watercolor sketches from her trip to France.<\/p>\n

I took my watercolors, pencils and pens with me on my trip to France, and found time to use them! I loved finding a scene or detail I wanted to record, and sitting down with my materials and creating it right on the spot. I used Strathmore water color paper\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0with my Koi watercolors<\/a>\u00a0and water brush <\/a>(love these).\u00a0 I used my favorite Pitt Pens<\/a> to add the finishing doodles.<\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a Halloween themed art journal page with watercolor effects.<\/p>\n

I always love experimenting different mediums to create watercolor effects. On this journal page, I decided to create the Halloween theme with the watercolor effect using\u00a0Distress Spray Stain<\/a> on the background. The images were stamped with Tim Holtz Undertaker Stamps<\/a>\u00a0and the yellow splat was die cut using Sizzix Scribbles and Splat Thinlits die<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Michelle<\/a> has started making her Holiday gift tags.<\/p>\n

It may seem early to most, but I have to make a lot of Holiday gift tags! This year’s theme is going to be a Woodland Christmas in non-traditional colors, so these sweet Elves by Lila <\/a>will fit right in. Their long, pointy hats posed a challenge, so I made the tags from \u00a0watercolor paper and the Simon Says Stamp Bookmark It Craft Die<\/a>. \u00a0I added doodles with a Signo Gel Gold Pen<\/a> as well as a Signo Gel White Pen<\/a>. I love those pens! They glisten like Holiday Magic!<\/p>\n

Sandra’s<\/a> favorite crafting season is Halloween.

\nI love the creepy season the most and it’s so much fun to create spooky stuff. I began with a piece of Watercolor cardstock<\/a> and Crushed Grapes and Squeezed Orange<\/a> Dylusions. The creepy trick-or-treat-ers<\/a> I inked up with Black Soot<\/a> Distress Ink, misted it with some water and stamped it to create a bit of a water color look, but also it makes a more solid print on a textured surface like this.<\/p>\n

Suzz<\/a>\u00a0 loves her watercolor pencils for shading and coloring.<\/p>\n

\"OLYMPUS<\/a><\/p>\n

Watercolor markers, pencils or crayons always fascinate me in their effect with a touch of the waterbrush.\u00a0 Watercolor paper is the key to how your images will stamp, your water will blend and the overall effect.\u00a0 The Strathmore Watercolor Paper<\/a> is what I used for this project.\u00a0 I used circle dies to trace my circles onto the background with watercolor pencil<\/a>. \u00a0 I used the fine tipped waterbrush <\/a>\u00a0 to add water and blend the color out from the line.\u00a0\u00a0 I added a touch of other colors to shadow the circles.\u00a0 The butterfly and sentiment are favorites of mine from Stampers Anonymous Perspective<\/a> and Impression Obsession<\/a>.<\/p>\n
