When it comes to stamping I have a lot of favorite techniques from stamping with mist to embossing and so much more! This week we want you to share a project that features one of your favorite techniques!<\/p>\n

One of Andrea’s<\/a> favorite techniques involves utilizing the backs of her clear stamps.<\/p>\n

I love the versatility that clear stamps provide in terms of how easy they are to see through for perfect placement.\u00a0 But have you ever stamped with the backs of your clear stamps?\u00a0 I gave it a whirl and love the results!\u00a0 I made the card above using this technique, along with Avery Elle’s Super stamp set<\/a>, an acrylic block,<\/a> and some Memento Luxe ink in gorgeous shades like Rose Bud<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> loves all kinds of resist techniques.<\/p>\n

\"OLYMPUS<\/a><\/p>\n

I’ve had so much fun with Ranger’s Distress Micro Glaze<\/a> lately and used it this week for a resist technique combined with stamping<\/a>, Distress Ink and a stencil<\/a>. I did a video tutorial to show how I made the background. My little bird <\/a>is painting the world in autumn colours, and stands on a nest of leaves die cut with the new Tim Holtz Sizzix Fall Foliage<\/a> set.<\/p>\n

Ashli<\/a> was inspired to dress up a new art journal this week…<\/p>\n

Needing a little inspiration to crack open this new journal, I decided to dress it up with a favorite technique… white embossing as a resist! Using the fabulous\u00a0Tim Holtz watercolor stamp set<\/a>, I added my butterflies. After embossing them in\u00a0white<\/a>, I simply played with lots of fun\u00a0watercolor<\/a>,\u00a0acrylics<\/a>, and\u00a0glitter<\/a>! The butterfly stamped in black finishes things off, along with some doodling. Now, maybe this beloved technique will turn this into a well loved journal!<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/a> was inspired by the colors of the Mediterranean to create a sea themed tag.<\/p>\n

I love tags, stencils,\u00a0texture paste\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0 crackle effect! I combined all these techniques in this work\u00a0 to\u00a0 say ‘hello’ to the summer and\u00a0 to continue with \u00a0the sea theme, one of my fave! The\u00a0Seahorses<\/a>\u00a0were painted with Distress paints and covered with\u00a0Distress crackle paint Clear rock candy<\/a>,\u00a0a little touch of\u00a0\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0Tim Holtz Core’dinations Kraft core Metallic\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0can’t miss in my work!<\/p>\n

Cheiron<\/a> loves to combine texture paste with Distress Spray stains.<\/p>\n

I can’t get enough of Ranger texture paste<\/a>, I put it on everything. I love the look of texture paste through a stencil sprayed with bright, vibrant colors. \u00a0To create my tag, I applied texture paste thru the Dina Wakely HALVES stencil<\/a> and let it dry. Then I sprayed away with Distress Stain in Cracked Pistachio<\/a>, Mermaid Lagoon<\/a> and Shaded Lilac<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0is getting a head start in making decorations for Halloween!<\/p>\n

As we say goodbye to summer and start thinking about autumn, I decided it was time to start making some Halloween decorations and combined a couple of my favourite stamping techniques using stamps from the Tim Holtz Ledger Script<\/a> and Undertaker<\/a> sets to create my spooky wall hanging! To complete my panel, I added tiny tattered florals<\/a> die cut from Nostalgic Core’dinations card stock<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lols\u00a0<\/a>Loves Stencilling!<\/p>\n

I love stencilling! they make creating one of a kind backgrounds so easy. There are so many\u00a0stencils<\/a> to choose from and you can even make your own to suit your project. I used a Tim Holtz Speckles Stencil<\/a> and Pumice Stone Distress Ink<\/a> for the base and then used a Tim Holtz Bubble Stencil <\/a>with\u00a0some Embossing Paste<\/a> over the top. The very cute\u00a0Bird Crazy<\/a>\u00a0chick with his bright yellow plumage and the yellow ribbon are a perfect contrast to the grey background.<\/p>\n

Travel is on\u00a0Maura’s<\/a>\u00a0mind these days.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My all time favorite technique is to use inks and water drops to create wonderful backgrounds. I challenged myself to work outside of my usual color range and chose several distress inks to work with like\u00a0Ripe Persimmon<\/a>,\u00a0\u00a0Twisted Citron<\/a>, \u00a0Fossilized Amber<\/a>\u00a0, and\u00a0Blueprint Sketch<\/a>. Once the background is done, the fun begins with the stamping!<\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a>\u00a0loves to create background textures with dry embossing.<\/p>\n

One of my favorite techniques to create textures on mixed media projects is dry embossing. On this tag, I pasted a piece of torn card stock that was dry embossed with\u00a0Tim Holtz embossing folder<\/a>\u00a0and colored with\u00a0Distress Inks<\/a>. Some\u00a0Tim Holtz metal embellishments<\/a>\u00a0were added to finish off this tag.<\/p>\n

Michelle’s <\/a>favorite technique is a stamping classic.<\/p>\n

\"Special<\/a><\/p>\n

My favorite technique is masking. It’s not very glamorous, but it’s a fail-safe way to add personality. The Tim Hotz Label Thinlets<\/a> that created the faux-postage were too small to fit the images from the Paper Artsy Hot Pick Set<\/a>, so I did a little masking to contain them. A stamp from the Tim Holtz Correspondence Set <\/a>ensures this card will indeed be a “Special Delivery.”<\/p>\n

NICOLE<\/a>\u00a0loves to create texture with stencils.<\/p>\n

I consider myself a technique based crafter. \u00a0So, picking one technique to love is impossible. \u00a0I do love to create texture with stencils and the\u00a0Bricked Layering Stencil<\/a>\u00a0is perfect to get that textured look. \u00a0I’m starting to love the\u00a0Ephemera Packs<\/a>. \u00a0They are a great way to add interest and color.<\/p>\n

Sandra<\/a>\u00a0loves foiling techniques

\nI’m so into foiling at the moment. I love the different techniques that you can do with it. In my latest vacation album I foiled laser printed text with\u00a0Silver Minc Foil<\/a>\u00a0and saved the remaining foil. I used this later for the “2015” with the\u00a0Word Play<\/a>\u00a0die. Foiling is very easy, fun and I’m\u00a0in love with the look of it.<\/p>\n

Suzz<\/a> loves trying new techniques and the Brusho Crystal Watercolors<\/a> had her creating backgrounds all week.<\/p>\n

\"OLYMPUS<\/a><\/p>\n

I spent all week playing with the crystals in a variety of techniques and ideas.\u00a0 I love trying out new things and see how they work with my existing toys.\u00a0 This background was a fun mix of the crystals with the Stampers Anonymous Cracks<\/a> image.\u00a0 I love the soft blurry effect of the color with the lines to make it look like stained glass window.\u00a0 I decided Wendy Vecchi’s striking flower from the The Beauty<\/a> stamp set would pop against the pretty background.<\/p>\n
