Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for joining us for the  Christmas Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ART JOURNAL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it\u2019s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand\/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Dyan Reaveley<\/a>. You don\u2019t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp<\/a> are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! <\/a>All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week\u2019s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we are welcoming the lovely Joanne Travis aka Sleepy In Seattle <\/a>into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joanne<\/a> used Dyan Reaveley’s adorable stamp set Puddy Cat<\/a> for her art journal page with After Midnight <\/a> ink spray, Leaf Me Be<\/a> stamps, and the Doodle It<\/a> stencil for the flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

For the second page, Joanne<\/a> used Night At The Opera Duo<\/a> clear stamp set along with Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick<\/a> and Scattered Straw<\/a> distress oxide inks, and the Quilt It<\/a> and Doodle It<\/a> stencils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea<\/a> made a page in her Dylusions Small Creative Journal<\/a> using two of her favorite Dylusions paint colors: Tropical Sangria<\/a> and Strawberry Daquiri<\/a>. She also used Tim Holtz’s Portrait Paperdolls<\/a> and Simon’s Scattered Stars<\/a> stencil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made an autumn art journal page in her Dylusions Journal<\/a>, with a thankfulness theme. She used three Dylusions stencils for the background: Martha’s Most Massive Mat<\/a>, Behave<\/a>, and Martha’s Mat<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a> decided to create two pages of an Art Journal in a vintage style using many Tim Holtz Idea-ology Ephemera packs.<\/a> To enrich her pages, she also made the centerpiece of the left page using two Sizzix dies for Tim Holtz: Collector<\/a> and Holiday Brushstroke 3<\/a>. To complete the pages she also used Ranger Distress Lumberjack Plaid Ink Pad<\/a>, Tiny Poinsettia<\/a> stencil and the music stamp from Department Store CMS 458 <\/a>set by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheiron<\/a> played around with some fun fall-ish color combos and used Dylusions Sprays in Vanilla Custard<\/a>, Fresh Lime<\/a> and Polished Jade<\/a>. She combined it with the Dina Wakley Pieces<\/a> stencil and Text Profiles<\/a> stamps in her Dina Wakley Journal.<\/a>

Macarena<\/a> made an almost monochrome page using Dyan Reaveley Fresh Lime<\/a> and Vibrant Turquoise<\/a> Sprays. She also applies Tim Holtz Texture Opaque Paste<\/a> through Dyan Reaveley Old School Alpha<\/a> stencil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> was reminiscing about tea time with family and friends. She worked in her Dylusions Creative Journal<\/a>, and she colored lots of quirky teacups from Dyan Reaveley’s Fancy a Cuppa stamp set<\/a>, and popped them onto a colorful background painted with Dina Wakely paints like Magenta<\/a> and Lapis<\/a>, then added some bits of Dylusions Black Washi Tape<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a holiday art journal page using Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps MODERN CHRISTMAS<\/a> stamps, and colored it with Dyan Reaveley BRUSH SET Dylusions Ranger<\/a> and DYAN REAVELEYRanger Dylusions Ink Spray<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoey <\/a>used Ranger Dylusions Paint Vanilla Custard<\/a> and Desert Sand<\/a> for her background along with Distress Ink Black Soot <\/a>and Ground Espresso<\/a>. She also used Distress Frosted Crystal<\/a> over Ideaology Embellishments<\/a> , Grit Paste<\/a> through a Layering stencil<\/a> and added more details and shading with Distress Watercolor Pencils<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
