STITCH IT <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it\u2019s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand\/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from AALL & CREATE<\/a>. You don\u2019t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp<\/a> are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! <\/a>All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week\u2019s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we are welcoming the lovely Lori E Kennedy aka cr8tive_lori<\/a> on instagram, into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lori<\/a> created 3 birthday tags using images from AALL & Create Cupcakes<\/a> and Sweet Tooth<\/a>. To bring them to life, she used Tim Holtz Distress Texture Paste<\/a> through AALL & Create Weathered Tiles<\/a> and Tim Holtz Splotches<\/a> and Speckles<\/a> Layering Stencils,. She colored the backgrounds with Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stains<\/a> & Mica Sprays<\/a>, painted the images with watercolors<\/a>, and added sentiments from multiple Tim Holtz stamp sets.  She then tore the paintings\u2019 edges and fussy stitched them to the tags, adding seed beads for sprinkles and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Velvet Trims<\/a> in warm<\/a> and cool<\/a> to finish them off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea<\/a> got to wondering what would happen if a witch stumbled into the story of the three bears instead of Goldilocks. She used AALL & Create’s Three Bears<\/a> stamp set along with Tim Holtz’s Toil and Trouble<\/a> die set. She edged her tag with faux-stitching using Studio Light’s Script and Stitches<\/a> stamp set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made a tag this week using the AALL & Create Robin and Nuthatch stamp set by Tracy Evans<\/a>. The robin stamp has the texture of messy stitching. The tag was embellished with Simon Says Stamp Acorn Trio<\/a> and Tim Holtz Feathery<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a> used AALL & Create Stencil Lotza Plusez<\/a> because it reminded her of the cross-stitch that is used in embroidery. To create her tag she also used Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stencil Thorned<\/a>, Idea-ology Halloween Paper Dolls<\/a>, and Distress Mica Stain set 4<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheiron<\/a> created a card full of rainbows using the AALL & Create Follow Rainbows<\/a> stamps on a background of DIstress Mica Stains<\/a>. She added some texture to her tag with DIstress Crackle Paste<\/a> and the Markings<\/a> stencil. She finished her tag with stitching and a sentiment from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Noteworthy<\/a> set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma<\/a> was inspired by her love of Ancient Egypt and she created a card using two AALL & CREATE<\/a> stamp sets ~ Shattering<\/a> and Nefertiti<\/a>. She layered the stamped image of Nefertiti onto a sunburst created using the Tim Holtz Circle Play Thinlits Die Set by Sizzix<\/a> and completed the card with a Creepy Eye<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kath<\/a> created a card using Tim Holtz\/Sizzix Christmas CutOuts<\/a> Thinlits from the new Holiday release along with Media Marks <\/a>Thinlits to create faux stitching and used AALL&Create Lotza Dots stencil<\/a> to add a punch of colour on the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macarena<\/a> made a card using an ALL & Create Roune Digits Clear Stamp<\/a> for the background. She stamped it with Distress Black Soot Oxide<\/a> and emboss with clear powder. Then played with Uncharted Mariner<\/a> and Rusty Hinge<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> really enjoys slow stitching and a cup of coffee, so she combined both in her tag. She used AALL and Create’s Hot Drinks <\/a>stamp set, and their Lotza Crossez stencil<\/a>. She tucked in some acorns from the new Simon Says Stamp Acorn Trio Wafer die<\/a>, and had a lot of fun playing with the new Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Pencils<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using AALL & Create BASIC VEGGIES A4 Clear Stamp Set<\/a> on the background, and decorated it with Tim Holtz Idea-ology CURIOSITIES Sticker Book<\/a> and Tim Holtz Idea-ology HALLOWEEN Ephemera<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoey<\/a> did a quick ATC using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Botanical<\/a> and Engraving<\/a> to decor her ATC – she also used Distress Sprat stain<\/a> and Distress Ink<\/a> to add color. AALL & Create Totally Dotty<\/a> was great to add more texture to the background. (Video Tutorial HERE<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
