You know the rules… anything goes!<\/p>\n

Want to create some rockin’ ATCs? Work with your newest ink? Play with a cool technique? From art journaling to card making and anything in between – anything and any subject goes this week!<\/p>\n

We are kicking off this week of inspiration with our newest DT member – Nicole!<\/a><\/p>\n

How do I get inspired for Anything Goes? I just look at what I love and build from there. I adore the Correspondence paper pack and I’ve been dying to create with it. Once I tied in the Photobooth images I knew there had to be some love letters shared.<\/em><\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> created an art journal page with an ocean theme this week.<\/p>\n

I was inspired by the colors of new Simon Says Stamp Premium Dye Ink Pad<\/a> and created this summer and ocean theme art journal page. I drew a face and colored it with Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain<\/a>. The anchor was stamped using Tim Holtz Stamp<\/a> and embossed with Clearsnap Clear Embossing Powder<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ashli<\/a> had some ephemera to scrap this week!<\/p>\n

With a stack of old gallery brochures from my days as an art school graduate, I created a “layout-sized” pocket to store them in. Some Stenciling<\/a> and Misting<\/a> provided a focal point for the front of this giant pocket, while some and Paper Punches<\/a>, and Die Cuts<\/a> finish it off!<\/em><\/p>\n

Emma<\/a> is simply crazy about these stamps!<\/p>\n

It’s been a while since I made a card and with this in mind, I decided to bring together two of my favourite Tim Holtz stamp sets, Bird Crazy<\/a> and Flower Garden<\/a> to create this fun project. I stamped the images on watercolor card and coloured them with a water brush using a selection of Distress Marker Pens<\/a>. To complete the card I added a stamped quote<\/a> and some linen ribbon<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sandra<\/a> was pleasantly surprised when she played around with the Gelli Plate<\/p>\n

It’s been a while since I played with the Gelli Plate<\/a>. And this time I tried printing on a dark surface. I love the results I got! Especially with the green and blue colors. This background is a second ghost image I made with Bundled Sage<\/a>, Cracked Pistachio<\/a> and Peacock Feathers<\/a> Distress Paint. To create more interest to this dark background, I’ve stamped with Simon Says Stamp White Ink<\/a>, and embossed the borders with the Stitches<\/a> stamps with White Embossing Powder<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Maura<\/a> crafted up a bit of magic in her art journal.<\/p>\n

The lightning bugs in the yard at night have started me thinking about fairies and magic. This challenge is the perfect opportunity to get back into my neglected art journal and play. Finnabair\u2019s \u201cTrust the magic\u201d stamp<\/a> is perfect! I used the Prima Clear Crackle<\/a> to get some background texture on the pages, and pulled out my Faber-Castell Gelatos<\/a> to add some color.<\/em><\/p>\n

Anna-Karin <\/a>was in the mood for some home decor.<\/p>\n

I am planning to make a whole bunch of panels to hang in my Tim Holtz Flip Frame<\/a> and this is the first one. The panel is embellished with fragments<\/a>, adhered to Wallflower patterned paper<\/a>. I added rub-ons<\/a> to the papers before gluing the fragments with Glossy Accents<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Suzz<\/a> took the anything goes opportunity to create a little magic on her tag.<\/p>\n

My tag today just came together quickly. I had a variety of inks, sprays, and stamps on my desktop and the creative process was magical which is lovely when it happens. I started with the Tim Holtz Latticework layering stencil <\/a>and the pretty Ranger Distress Stain Spray – Peacock Feathers<\/a> to create a backdrop and then added in the Prima striking image<\/a> to add a strong focal point.<\/em><\/p>\n

Cheiron<\/a> finally got to make a Mini Mason jar project.<\/p>\n

I have been waiting to get my hands on some of the Tim Holtz Mini Mason Jars.<\/a> I created a winged gal with the Tim Holtz Salvaged Dolls<\/a> and the butterfly wings from the Tim Holtz Watercolor<\/a> stamp set. I filled the jar up with pearls that have been colored with alcohol ink colors to match the Tim Holtz Letterpress<\/a> on the top of the jar.<\/em><\/p>\n

Michelle<\/a> whipped up some bookmarks for her favorite student.<\/p>\n

Back to School is right around the corner. This year, my Daughter-In-Law will be hitting the books on campus with a set of mixed media bookmarks made with the Avery Elle Bookmark Die<\/a>. Embossed stamped Flowers<\/a> will add a little funk to the typical textbook text.<\/em><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> felt like going on vacation, so she made some travel tins.<\/p>\n

Oh to escape the monotony of daily life and go adventuring! I love this time of the year for its feeling of travel and freedom and family. I decided to make two travel tins that pay homage to my favorite destinations. I made them using Memento Luxe<\/a> ink, which works awesome on fabric, and Paper Artsy’s London-themed stamp set<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

I (May<\/a>) wanted to test an idea out and ended up making a very simple card.<\/p>\n

After making a tag with my Tim Holtz bird die<\/a>, I took the paper left over from when I cut it out and used that as a stencil with some Mermaid Lagoon ink<\/a> on watercolor paper. I’m loving how this birdie looks stenciled! What to do? Well since anything goes this week, I just topped it off with a few things and called it a good creative play session.<\/p>\n
