I was thinking about the saying that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb and it got me pondering the animal craft possibilities. From cute Lawn Fawn critters to animal print stamps, collaging images of your favorite animals to scrapbooking a photo of your pet – we can\u2019t wait to see how animals inspire you this week.<\/p>\n

Sandra<\/a> just can’t wait till it’s Spring and nature starts to bloom

\n I was inspired by the Easter die<\/a> from Simon Say Stamp Hop to it collection<\/a>. Spring is my favorite season and I can’t wait until nature wakes up and shares the beautiful wonders it full with. I wanted to make a Spring spread in my art journal and as base I used Tissue Wrap<\/a> and Tim’s Caged Bird<\/a>, along with Broken China<\/a> and Peeled Paint<\/a> to color the background.<\/em><\/p>\n

Suzz<\/a> created a masculine card for a royal celebration.<\/p>\n

The Stampendous Lion<\/a> is a royal and beautiful etched image he was the focal point for a card that will be sent to someone who will receive wishes to celebrate royally on their birthday. I mixed in some beautiful Stampendous Copper Luxe<\/a> in the background along with a Ranger Distress Stain Sprays Rusty Hinge<\/a> and Peeled Paint<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Michelle<\/a> can’t go long without playing with glitter.<\/p>\n

It’s true, I’ll look for any excuse to use the glitter. Remember the dioramas that were created inside eggs? I used the Hero Arts Bird <\/a>and a touch of beautiful Fuchsia Glass Glitter<\/a> to re-create this kitschy spring-time craft.<\/em><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> created some Post-It note holders with a party pup and a crime-fighting cat.<\/p>\n

If you work in a gray cubicle day after day, you learn pretty quick to try and spiff up even the most mundane office supplies for your own entertainment. I decided to give my Post-It notes some oomph by making these covers for them. I love Waffle Flower’s On My Mark die set<\/a> which feature these furry critters and I learned that Post-It’s fit perfectly inside Tim Holtz’s Matchbook dies<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mona<\/a> was inspired to create a layout featuring her two sweet dogs.<\/p>\n

I love to run and my dogs little four legs can’t quite go the distance, so I take them for a ride in their stroller. One of my favorite photos of my sweet dogs positioned in a Cabinet Card Frame<\/a> made for a great focal point on my layout. To compliment the vintage frame, I combined pretty patterned papers from the Wallflower Cardstock Pack<\/a> then embellished with Rusty Hinge<\/a> colored die cut Grungeboard<\/a> Gadget Gears<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Emma<\/a> is taking you on a trip to Wonderland.<\/p>\n

Inspired by my love of Alice in Wonderland, I created a home decor panel featuring my favourite character from the book and the Disney film ~ the white rabbit. I had so much fun creating all the elements for this canvas, including the suspended 3D pocket watch<\/a>, the stamped rabbit image<\/a> and the surrounding foliage,<\/a> all of which I layered onto a double canvas painted with Tumbled Glass<\/a> and Broken China<\/a> Distress Paints.<\/em><\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a canvas with the photo of her first pet.<\/p>\n

Ding Dong was my first pet and I still remember how excited I was when I first saw her. This photo was taken when she was 8 weeks old. I stenciled the background with Tim Holtz Layering Stencil<\/a> and Prima Flowers White Sand Texture Paste<\/a>, and colored it with Distress Paints<\/a>. The die cut butterflies was covered with Prima Flowers Crackle Paste<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ashli<\/a> was inspired by a beloved pet…<\/p>\n

We love dogs around here and Susie will always hold a special place in our lives, especially since she was the ring bearer in our wedding! Using a little doodle of mine as a template, I cut out some little doxie shapes out of some Studio Calico paper<\/a>. With the addition of some watercolors<\/a>, wood veneers<\/a>, and sequins<\/a>, I have a lovely little page to remember this special moment!<\/em><\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> had the perfect photos for this challenge theme.<\/p>\n

\n As soon as I saw this theme, I knew I had to scrap these photos of meeting a lion cub. The mixed media background was done with paints, new fun dies<\/a> by Tim Holtz, stencils <\/a>and stamps. I wanted to create a rough, textured and wild background, fitting with the photos. To embellish the page, I used ticket<\/a> and word<\/a> stamps, and die cut words<\/a> and labels<\/a> from inky papers.<\/em><\/p>\n

I always love any chance to play with distress colors and stamps! With these new Lawn Fawn critters <\/a>and some black archival ink<\/a> I had fun coloring in these critters. I used a combination of distress spray stains and watercolor pencils. Love how I tamed those critters for this card!<\/p>\n
