Whether it\u2019s spring in the air or just the leprechauns showing up all over the local stores for St. Patrick\u2019s Day I\u2019m feeling a lot of love for clover, shamrocks, and green in general. Will the luck of the Irish be with you? Want to craft with just a hint of bold clover green? Perhaps feature your favorite green ink pad or marker in your next project? Barbara<\/a> let herself be inspired by her vintage soul and a shade of green.<\/p>\n

This green is one of my favorite colors! Often I prefer it in stronger tones but I wanted use it in this shade to create a very delicate tag. For an ethereal and slightly transparent effect, I cut out the butterflies from Paper stash Wallflower vellum<\/a> and helped by my beloved Distress inks<\/a>, I created a background tone on tone. I hope this spring mood inspire you too!<\/em><\/p>\n

This page is about finding balance in life and with some luck those elephants won’t fall, at least not too often. To go with the theme, I used mainly green, which just a little bit of grey. The Tim Holtz elephants <\/a>were stamped on watercolour paper <\/a>and coloured with Distress Inks. I had fun making a textured background with stencils<\/a>, stamps<\/a>, Distress Ink and Distress Spray Stain<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Green has Ashli<\/a> thinking about change…<\/p>\n

That’s right! The first thing I think of when pondering green is the lovely fresh growth in spring. Well, and that brings to mind change and how change can really be a welcome thing. So, I decided to scrap up a little page for my daughter’s scrapbook, with some journaling to remind them to embrace change. Using my Watercolors<\/a> and Prismas<\/a>, I was able to add in lots of green colors to compliment the lovely green Maggie Holmes floral pieces<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Emma<\/a> hopes this four leaf clover will bring her luck.<\/p>\n

I love making dimensional flowers for my projects and with this in mind, I challenged myself to create a 3D clover. I used the smaller of the Mini Hearts Movers and Shapers die<\/a> to die cut card, which I coloured with Mowed Lawn<\/a> and Antiqued Bronze<\/a> Distress Stains before adding the completed clover to an inked background, mounted on paper from the Wallflower stash<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sandra<\/a> had fun making this greenish card for St. Patrick’s day

\n I’m not really familiar with this Irish holiday. But I loved making this card! I started with stripes of paper of the Lucky<\/a> paperpad from Authentique. That green is not really my color so I toned it down with Gesso<\/a> and applied Cracked Pistachio<\/a> and Crushed Olive<\/a> Distress Paint around the corners. Love that the patterns of the papers are in the background somewhere.<\/em><\/p>\n

Suzz <\/a> was inspired by the color of the clover and broke out her new Cracked Pistachio Ranger Distress Stain Spray<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When I saw May’s description included being inspired by the color I knew that new Cracked Pistachio<\/a> spray was going to be leaving a trail of green. I ended up blending the new spray with a few different Ranger Distress Stain Sprays like Iced Spruce<\/a> and Pumice Stone<\/a> on a few different backgrounds. I didn’t stop there as I wanted to play with some more goodies that just arrived including the new Tim Holtz Flowers<\/a> and couldn’t wait to mix them up on these backgrounds. I ended up with three different cards and multiple more backgrounds all starting from the challenge this week.<\/em><\/p>\n

Michelle’s<\/a> Valentines Day hearts became Shamrocks!<\/p>\n

Sometimes a messy craft table can be an asset. While putting away my Dina Wakely Collaged Hearts<\/a>, I thought about how fun they’d be as shamrocks. One thing lead to another and this page for my vintage photo 6×8 album evolved. The Kaiser Grunge Font<\/a> declares the dog to be a lucky one, but I’m feeling pretty lucky myself!<\/em><\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> created an art journal page with green color palettes.<\/p>\n

I was inspired by the green color scheme of spring to create the background of this art journal page. The watercolor effect was made with Clearsnap Aladine Pigment Ink Cactus<\/a> and Avocado Izink Inks<\/a> mixed with water. Some Tim Holtz Gadget Gear Die Cuts<\/a> and Prima Flowers Metal Embellishment<\/a> were attached using Tombow Liquid Glue<\/a> on this page.<\/em><\/p>\n

Clovers made Andrea<\/a> think of luck.<\/p>\n

While I did enjoy trying to pinch my non-green-wearing brother on St. Patrick’s Day while growing up, I’d like to think I’ve matured at least a little since then (no comment on my success rate). Instead of a pinching focus, I’ve grown to look at this month as a time to be thankful for all of my good fortune in life. I decided to create this “Lucky Lady” to remind me of my blessings. I made her using Dina Wakley’s All the Gals<\/a> stamp and played with some fun black Prima thread wire<\/a> on her dress and crown.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mona<\/a> created a greeting card using various shades of green Distress Stain Sprays.<\/p>\n

Admittedly, the color green is not one of my “go to” colors so I was brave and reached for the following Distress Stain Sprays: bundled sage<\/a>, mowed lawn<\/a>, evergreen bough<\/a> and pine needles<\/a> to create an inky background. For the focal point, I embellished with a crackled<\/a> die cut butterfly<\/a> which was colorized using bundled sage<\/a>. For the sentiment, a small talk sticker<\/a> was used.<\/em><\/p>\n

This week I (May<\/a>) played with my lucky new stamps.<\/p>\n

These new Lawn Fawn stamps <\/a>are so much fun! Paired with a new blue ink pad <\/a>and my favorite watercolors<\/a> I had a blast coloring and building this card. I even managed to get a few shamrocks in there – just for a little extra luck. <\/p>\n
