This doesn’t have to be a famous artist, you can choose to be inspired by a fellow crafter. Whoever it is please let us know in your write up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s Simona’s<\/a> last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure to have you along with us :-)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simona<\/a>: is inspired by Tim Holtz and created this tag using an Etcetera Mini Tag<\/a>, She used Distress Collage Medium ‘Vintage<\/a>‘, Distress Crayons<\/a>, Distress Embossing Glaze<\/a>,  Baseboard Dolls<\/a>, Ephemera Layers<\/a>, Design Tape <\/a>and Metal Word Bands<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a>: inspired by Lars Lerin and in particular his watercolor nature samplers. She created a nature-themed art journal page using different Simon Says Stamp stamp sets, such as Anna’s Flowers<\/a> and Beautiful Butterflies<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a>: inspired by Ren\u00e9 Magritte. Barbara always loved Magritte’s painting and she was inspired by two of his most famous artworks to create an Etcetera Mini tag<\/a> using the fabulous Tim Holtz\/Stampers Anonymous stamp, Watson<\/a>. It’s absolutely perfect for this challenge! To complete her tag she also used Tim Holtz\/Stampers Anonymous Nature’s Wonder <\/a>stamps set, Idea-ology Backdrops Volume 2<\/a>, Distress ink pads Speckled Egg<\/a> and Tumbled Glass, Idea-ology Odds and Ends Embellishments<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheiron<\/a>: inspired by the colorful work of the artist Ellsworth Kelly’s Colors for A Large Wall<\/a> painting. She created her bright square background easily by cutting the squares using the Tim Holtz Sizzix Stacked Squares<\/a> Thinlits and various colors of Simon Says Stamp<\/a> and Lawn Fawn cardstock. She finished her card with a simple CZ Design Swoopy Thank You<\/a> die and some Studio Katia clear drops<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kath<\/a>: inspired by Banksy’s Life Is Beautiful art print, created her own using Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Lady Rose<\/a> and Worn Text<\/a>, inked with Black Soot<\/a> and Barn Door<\/a> Distress Archival inks, the Bricked Layering Stencil<\/a> to create a monoprint effect and added Prima flowers coloured with Barn Door Distress Spray Stain<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a>: inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s gorgeous sunflowers, to create her own in the Dina Wakley Media Journal<\/a>, using Simon Says Stamp’s Sunflower Background stamp<\/a>, and Daniel Smith Watercolors like Hansa Yellow Medium.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a>: inspired by Finnabair to create a mixed media tag using the portrait from Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Found Relatives<\/a> and decorated the tag with Tim Holtz Gadget Gears Findings<\/a> and Sentiments Label Stickers.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra<\/a>: inspired by Finnabair<\/a> products to make a colorful card using Metallique Waxes<\/a> and Opal Magic Paint in Blue Gold<\/a> and Yellow Pink<\/a>, using the Cogs andWings<\/a>, Mechanica<\/a>, Stars and Moons<\/a> Moulds<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoey<\/a>: inspired by Kandinsky Circles to create her background. She used Tim Holtz Layering Stencil SPLOTCHES<\/a> and Tim Holtz Layering Stencil RINGER<\/a> to create a subtle background then with Distress Paint<\/a> she hand painted some bigger circles. The paper doll duo is perfect and the sentiment is from an old sticker book by Tim Holtz<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
