This is the final challenge of 2014… so anything goes!<\/p>\n

Emma’s<\/a> festive wreath is full of shimmery sparkle and shine!<\/p>\n

As Christmas approaches and we make the final touches to our beautiful festive decorations, I thought this wreath would be perfect to hang in pride of place in my home. The central Festive Gent<\/a> die cut is covered is painted with Tarnished Brass Distress Paint<\/a> and covered in Distress Glitter<\/a> for sparkle and then surrounded by stacked die cut snowflakes<\/a> covered in Frosted Film<\/a> for added shimmer.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mona<\/a> was inspired to create a holiday tag.<\/p>\n

Tags are so versatile and during the holiday season, a tag can easily be used as an ornament, a gift tag or simply an inspirational piece to spread some cheer! I was inspired to create a mixed media holiday tag featuring a pair of beautiful layered angel wings<\/a>. and a crackled<\/a> Mini heart<\/a>. The tag has a lot of texture that was created using Texture Paste<\/a> along with the Latticework Stencil<\/a>. Once dry, randomly applied various colors of Winter Distress Paints<\/a> made for a fantastic painted background.<\/em><\/p>\n

Suzz<\/a> was inspired by vellum this week and using it to overlay on a beautiful sunset.<\/p>\n

I had to create a quick sympathy card which had me creating a vellum <\/a>overlay on a serene scene. I decided to continue with the vellum and create a holiday card using the beautiful colors from Memento dye inks-Paris Dusk,<\/a> Memento Dye Ink – Lilac Posies<\/a>, Memento Rose Bud <\/a> Ranger Distress Ink – Mustard Seed<\/a> and a birch tree backdrop<\/a>. This has me wishing for a snowy night where all is quiet and the sky is shades of purple.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ashli<\/a> needed a little something special for Christmas…<\/p>\n

My girls are getting a special gift this Christmas… one that can’t be wrapped, so I needed a creative way to present it to them on Christmas morning! Using some Cosmo Cricket<\/a> and Studio Calico<\/a> paper, I created an interactive prize ribbon for them. A simple brad<\/a> creates the interactive element that is layered behind the fabulous Maya Road deer embellishment<\/a>. I can’t wait for them to read the inside come Christmas morning!<\/em><\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> decided to create a mixed media cover for a Dollhouse album this week.<\/p>\n

I love all the fabulous Prima Flowers embellishments<\/a> that I received recently so decided to use them to create a mixed media cover for this Dallhouse Chipboard Album<\/a>. The texture on the background of the cover was created using Texture Paste White Sand<\/a> after the Heavy Gesso<\/a> was applied. Facetten- Lack Crackling Colour<\/a> was covered on the windows and the door for crackling effect.<\/em><\/p>\n

Michelle<\/a> has been busy making tags for those holiday packages.<\/p>\n

By using one color palette and similar shapes, I’ve discovered that gift tags can be made out of just about anything. The Retro Packages<\/a> were quickly made using my Sizzix Big Shot<\/a>. The Styled Woodlands Deer<\/a> looks happy resting upon the Crate Paper Notes and Things Ephemera<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Anna-Karin <\/a>needed business cards and decided to make her own.<\/p>\n

\n I needed business cards to hand out to people and used leftover gelli printed papers <\/a>to make these. Very simple and quick and all the cards are different. I stamped each card with various Tim Holtz image<\/a> and sentiment stamps <\/a>using Archival Jet Black <\/a>ink and then the cards were done.<\/em><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> went wherever her feet took her, which in this case was to make shoe memo holders.<\/p>\n

While browsing the baby section at a local clothing store, I became intrigued with the adorable little shoe forms that baby socks were packaged on. I bought a package of socks, ignored them, and went straight for the little cardboard foot shapes instead! With a healthy dose of Gesso<\/a> and tons of Washi (my current faves are Cavallini and Company’s Numbers set<\/a> and My Mind’s Eye’s Pretty Things set<\/a>), these shoes took on a life of their own.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sandra Mouwen<\/a> is moving and made some tags to send out her new address

\nYes, it’s almost time for the big move. Construction is in the final stage, so time to make some moving tags to let my family and friends know my new address. I started with a Kraft tag<\/a> to represent the cardboard boxes of moving. To adhence that fact I used the Distressed Texture stamps<\/a> from Bo Bunny. I love the new Arrow border<\/a> from Simon Says Stamp. I cut them out of Adhesive Cork<\/a>.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
