If you\u2019ve always wanted to go to the moon, love all celestial things, want to be a space explorer, or perhaps just like stars on your craft projects this week we want to see how you\u2019re inspired by the universe, galaxy, or anything else out of this world.<\/p>\n

Sandra Mouwen<\/a> is over the moon with her card!

\nWell not so literally, it’s the working title of this card. But I had so much fun playing with the Prima Copper Crackle Texture Paste<\/a>. It’s gonna be the moon of my card. First I made the dark blue background with Faded Jeans<\/a> and Chipped Sapphire<\/a>. I made a stencil out of a piece of cardboard with the biggest of the Sized Circles<\/a> and applied the paste with a Palette Knife<\/a>. While drying a halo appeared because the paste is very wet, but I think it’s perfect.<\/em><\/p>\n

Barbara <\/a>felt that to the moon is a very large theme!<\/p>\n

When I read the title of this challenge, I quickly realized that would use a Hero Arts stamp<\/a> that I fell in love at first look and that is the background of my jumbo tag! Then I thought about the stars and I was reminded a David Bowie’s song, the soundtrack of my teenage years! The new die-cut with small letters <\/a>by Tim Holtz seemed perfect to create the title: “Starman”. And who but the very classic “umbrella man<\/a>” in space to infinity and beyond?<\/em><\/p>\n

“I’ll Love you all the way to the Moon and Back” is something Suzz<\/a> shared with her youngest every night.
\n\"\"
\n My youngest and I read the beautiful book by Sam McBratney called “Guess How Much I love You” many times and it started a nightly ritual of saying how much we loved each other. This layout is inspired by those special moments when she was little and the nighttime ritual. I used the beautiful Memory Box Star Dust Stencil<\/a> to create a sprinkling of stars mixed with the Heidi Swapp Color Shine Gold spray<\/a> to create a shimmery night. I die cut a mix of stars using Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Stars<\/a> and Sizzix Stars.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Ashli<\/a> was inspired to scrapbook about her little “rock star” this week…<\/p>\n

I have quite the little helper in the garden these days and when we finished a rock installation, I knew I had a little “rock star” on my hands, worthy of scrapping! Layering some Wood Vaneers<\/a> under my Punched Stars<\/a> adds to the rustic feel of this layout. Some lovely watercolors<\/a> and a fabulous little Deer<\/a> finish it off!<\/em><\/p>\n

Mona<\/a> gave a star shaped piece of home decor a new look for the upcoming holidays.<\/p>\n

As the holiday season is right around the corner, I was inspired to alter a star shaped decoration with embossed Foil Cardstock<\/a>. Adding a touch of color using pitch black<\/a> acrylic paint along with African Jade<\/a> paint added lots of depth and dimension. A finished it off with a stamped sentiment from Holiday Labels<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> created a mixed media canvas with the moon and stars.

\n I just received my new texture paste and Gesso, and thought they would be perfect to create textures for this project. I covered the background of this cavas with Heavy Gesso<\/a> and the edges with Texture Paste White Sand<\/a>. The moon and stars were die cut using Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Crescent Moon & Stars.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> thought it was about time to start making some Christmas cards.

\n I love to create little scenes and the new Sizzix Winter Deer<\/a> die makes it very easy to create a snowy forest scene. The scene is done on gloss cardstock <\/a>and coloured with Adirondack Dye <\/a>and Distress Inks<\/a>. The moon was masked out while inking. To give the card even more of a snowy feeling, I white embossed Tim Holtz Specks stamp<\/a> on the ground.<\/em><\/p>\n

I (May<\/a>) took a look up at the night sky and was inspired.<\/p>\n

These Dina Wakley stamps<\/a> had the perfect thoughtful lady for my tag. Inspired by the moon and stars, I had a lot of fun stenciling<\/a>, coloring, and building texture onto this tag.<\/p>\n

Michelle’s<\/a> scrapbook layout is all about the stars.<\/p>\n

Theodore Roosevelt said, “Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground.” The Crate Paper Chipboard Frame <\/a>surrounds a vintage vacation photo of eager young boys full of life. The stamped sentiment from Waffle Flower <\/a>echoes the shining optimism of the stars.<\/em><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> made a travel-sized art kit just in case she ever finds herself on the moon.<\/p>\n

I’m sure there would be a lot of fascinating things to see in space. But I don’t think I could live for long anywhere in the galaxy without my art supplies. I created a condensed art kit using a Configurations box<\/a> and filled it with some of my very favorite (and tiny) supplies like these fabulous new mini Distress Ink pads<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Emma<\/a> will be back on Wednesday with a tutorial on how to create a moonlit sky using Distress Inks.<\/p>\n
