MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it\u2019s the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a brand\/company. This week we are all using some fabulous products from Paper Rose<\/a>. You don\u2019t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp<\/a> are generously giving away a FABULOUS $25 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! <\/a>All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week\u2019s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we are welcoming the lovely Sandra Rupp aka SR Paper Love <\/a>  into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra<\/a> created a beautiful flowery frame. For the background she used several Distress Oxides<\/a> and used one of her favorite Bouquet Layering Stencils<\/a> and Distress Texture Paste<\/a>. For the focus she used a variety of flowers<\/a>, Field Notes Ephemera<\/a> and a Tim Holtz Paper Doll<\/a>.

Andrea<\/a> made an artsy tag using Maker’s Movement’s Nested Box Tag Dies<\/a> and Paper Rose’s Wildflowers 2 Die<\/a>. She added lots of dots with Altenew’s Many Dots<\/a> Washi tape and Tim Holtz’s Dotted<\/a> stencil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made a double art journal page with a mixed media background. She layered stencils by Simon Says Stamp, such as the Large Dots<\/a> and the Circle Dots<\/a>. Stamping was done with Tim Holtz Ultimate Grunge<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a> loves so much to create backgrounds! For this tag, she used Circuit Layering Stencil<\/a>, Faceted Heart Die<\/a>,  Glitch 1 Stamp Set<\/a>, Snarky Cat Stamp Se<\/a>t, a lot of Distress products<\/a>, and Perfect Pearl Powder Forever Blue.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheiron <\/a>created a background on her tag using Speckled Egg Distress Oxide along with some of her favorite stencils including Digits<\/a> and Stitches<\/a>. She added layers of Ephemera <\/a>and a Photobooth<\/a> photo along with a Wildflower Stems 2<\/a> Sizzix die cut. She finished her card with Clippings <\/a>Stickers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Emma<\/a> was in her element using the Gradient Hex Layering Stencil<\/a>, Distress Micro Glaze<\/a>, Distress Sprays and Oxide Sprays to create the background for her vintage style Etcetera tag<\/a> project inspired by friendship. She added a Photobooth image, placed in a Geo Frame<\/a> and surrounded it with die cut Funky Florals 3<\/a> foliage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kat<\/a>h<\/a> used lots of Distress Speckled Egg<\/a> products on her Art Panel, creating the background with Distress Spray Stains<\/a>, Grid Dot Mini Layering Stencil <\/a>and The Professor 2 stamp set<\/a> and decorating with an Idea-ology Lace Baseboard Frame<\/a>, Field Notes Ephemera<\/a> and Snippets<\/a>, Specimen Remnant Rubs<\/a> and a Wildflower Stems 1 Thinlits<\/a> die-cut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Lols <\/a> made a card using Paper Rose Texture 2<\/a> and Stitched Eucalyptus <\/a>Dies. For the background she used White Yupo Paper<\/a> and Dandelion<\/a>, Coral <\/a>and Sublime Pearls<\/a> Alcohol Inks<\/a>. While the ink was still puddled in places she applied a layer of Gold Foil<\/a> and buffed with a Teflon Bone Folder<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macarena<\/a> made up her background by stamping with Distress Sprays<\/a> and a bit of water. She stamped the Tim Holtz Faded Type<\/a> and covered it with Distress Glaze in Cracked Pistachio<\/a> and Broken China<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> made a background for her art journal page with Paper Rose Grunge Textures<\/a> paper, and Paper Rose’s Hud <\/a>and Modern Geometric<\/a> stencils. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a thank you card using\u00a0Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Cardstock<\/a>\u00a0on the background, and added the sentiment with\u00a0Paper Rose Inky Antics Paper<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0CZ Design Extra Large Thank You Wafer Dies<\/a>\u00a0on the card.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra<\/a> made her background with Distress Paints Broken China<\/a>, Cracked Pistachio<\/a>, Weathered Wood<\/a> and Vintage Photo<\/a>, and to add some shimmer to it, she used Metallique Paint Rustic Brown<\/a> and Stormy Ocean<\/a>. She used the Hud <\/a>stencil from Paper Rose with Distress Embossing Glaze Walnut Stain<\/a> to complete her background. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoey<\/a> used as always Distress Paint<\/a> in various colors to create the background of her tag. She also used Tim Holtz Wildflowers thinlits<\/a> , Tim Holtz Clippings<\/a> and Tim Holtz Photobooth<\/a> to decor it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
