Here\u2019s a letter we haven\u2019t covered yet – what will you use? October Afternoon products? Be inspired by the number one? Create an ombre effect? order new goodies to play with? We want to see what O means in your crafting!<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a> chose “O” for October.<\/p>\n

As Halloween creeps up on us, for me the letter “O” was always going to be for the month of October and all things spooky and eerie. So, with this in mind, I chose to create this card using the Tim Holtz carved spider<\/a> and web<\/a> stamps on a background created with Distress Stains<\/a>. I added some crackled die cut Apothecary bottles<\/a>, together with hand dyed linen ribbon<\/a> and various pieces of Idea-ology.<\/em><\/p>\n

The first thing Sandra Mouwen<\/a> thought of was October when she heard the letter O

\nThinking of October, Halloween wasn’t far behind. I love the spookiness of Halloween. This time I worked with Watercolor Paper<\/a>. And started spraying with Squeezed Orange<\/a> and Pure Sunshine<\/a> on top of the Simon Says Stamp Leaves Mask<\/a>. The excess I dabbed off in the top right corner. I love the properties of watercolor paper and how it can soak up all that liquid without starting to warp!<\/em><\/p>\n

This letter has Ashli’s<\/a> name written all over it!<\/p>\n

With my last name being “Oliver,” I wasn’t at a loss for inspiration this week! I decided to reinforce the theme and create a background of Die Cut “O’s.” <\/a>This set the stage perfectly for my layers of sequins<\/a>, die cuts<\/a>, and clouds<\/a>! I love the way this little layout of all the Oliver girls turned out!<\/em><\/p>\n

If given the opportunity to use glitter, Michelle<\/a> will fold faster than a lawn chair.<\/p>\n

Origami is a fun “O” word! The Mama Elephant Origami <\/a>images made glitzy-glam embellishments for my Sn@p Binder<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag with the orange color scheme.<\/p>\n

To me, O is for orange and orange is the color of Fall. From falling leaves to pumpkins, orange is all around us in this season. I created this tag with different shades and products of orange color include Distress Paint<\/a>, Faber-Castell Gelatos<\/a>, Distress Stickle<\/a> and Distress Ink.<\/a> The texture on the background was made with Tim Holtz Layering Stencil<\/a> and Modeling Paste<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Anna-Karin <\/a>made a mini book that is going to be filled with spooky stories.<\/p>\n

My son and I tell a lot of stories to each other; he particularly enjoys slightly scary stories where he is the hero at the end. I thought I would collect them in a little book. O is for Odds & Ends<\/a>, the Ornamental die <\/a>and Occasions Found Relatives <\/a>by Tim Holtz, and there are three O’s in my title. Lots of fun Halloween stamping on the inside too.<\/em><\/p>\n

O Domino… Suzz<\/a> was thinking it was time to play with her Dominoes again.<\/p>\n

I was thinking I haven’t used my dominoes in awhile and thought the O challenge would be the perfect time to pull them out and make a spooky Halloween inspired book. I tried a variety of images but liked the family from the Visual Artistry Lost & Found<\/a> set as my haunted children. The covers made good use of the Bingo Embossing<\/a> folder and some aluminum foil.<\/em><\/p>\n

For this challenge Barbara <\/a>thought of two words that are really good together: October and owl!<\/p>\n

Obviously these words suggest Halloween and here is my project: an altered burlap panel<\/a> with elements recalling this celebration! Forms such as the owl<\/a> and the moon<\/a> are inevitable as well as the palette of Distress paints orange green purple I used. Finally, I’ve made sparkling my owl with Distress glitter<\/a>, perfect finish for this time of year!”<\/em><\/p>\n

I’m always looking for somewhere to stash lots of paper scraps and bits of ephemera. When I saw this collection folio<\/a> by Tim Holtz, I knew it was just the thing I needed. I decorated it with paper from Prima’s Epiphany<\/a> and Free Spirit<\/a> collections.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mona<\/a> will be back on Wednesday with a tutorial featuring an Ombre colored canvas:<\/p>\n
