Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for joining us for the Texture Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week we are challenging you to add something beginning with<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘E’ is for ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

think Elephants, Embossing, Envelope, Everlasting, the list is endless!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you may know, the  Simon Says Stamp Store<\/a> is accepting new orders, but have longer shipping times for the moment due to the coronavirus. With this in mind we have made the difficult decision to suspend the $50 voucher for this challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know that many people are staying safe at home and we would love it if you would continue to enter the challenges and have fun! We are all in this together!

Tracey’s <\/a>“E” inspiration is Easter. She created this colorful spring card featuring the Tim Holtz Sizzix Bouquet<\/a>, Wildflower Stems 1<\/a> and Wildflower Stems 2<\/a> die sets. She colored the flowers with Distress Oxide Inks<\/a> and the beautiful background is created with Ranger Alcohol Inks<\/a> and Gilded Alloy <\/a>on Tim Holtz Silver Sparkle Alcohol Ink Cardstock.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea<\/a> focused on encouragement by making these mini tag notebooks with positive sayings on the front. She used the Sizzix Framelits Tag Collection<\/a> dies to cut out the tags and embellished them with scallops from Jane Davenport’s Happy Little Unicorn<\/a> dies and Tim Hotz’s Quote Chips<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> used both dry and heat embossing and also added some ephemera<\/a>. The background was dry embossed with Tim Holtz Lumber 3-D folder<\/a>. The die cut flowers were embossed with various Ranger Mixed Media powders<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a> created a trio of tags thinking to vibrant and “Energetic” colors! She used Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Snarky Cat stamp set<\/a>, Tim Holtz Sizzix Media Marks Thinlits die<\/a>, Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Pads<\/a>, Ranger Distress resist Spray<\/a> and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Big Talk Snarky.<\/a>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheiron<\/a> created a card with a “trapped Emboss resist” background using the Tim Holtz Tiny Text<\/a> stamps over a Distress Oxide<\/a> rainbow inked background. She finished her card with a Stacked Tag<\/a> that she stamped with a stamp from the Tim Holtz Flower Shop<\/a> stamp set in multiple colors of Distress Oxide and added a sentiment from the Simple Sayings<\/a> stamp set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma<\/a> chose ‘E’ for elephant, embossing and Etcetera Tag<\/a> and created a project with a message all about strength. She used Tim Holtz products including the Doodle Art 2 Die<\/a>, Crochet Die<\/a> and the focal point of the beautiful elephant image, taken from the Junk Drawer Baseboard Ephemera pieces.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kath<\/a> created an Art Journal page with a play on words, inspired by Elephants, the most Extraordinary animals who make Epic journeys in search of food and water but are tragically now an Endangered species due to poaching and climate change. She used Clarence Colorize Thinlits<\/a> and Baggage Claim BigZ die <\/a>from Tim Holtz\/Sizzix Chapter 2 Collection with Idea-ology Typeset Collage Paper<\/a>, images from Tim Holtz\/Stampers Anonymous The Professor 2<\/a> and Grunged<\/a> to add interest on the background, Idea-ology Salvaged Tags<\/a>, Urban Layers<\/a> and Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper Thinlits<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macarena<\/a> made a tag with a lot of EMBOSSING using Ranger Clear Emboss It Dabber<\/a> and Hero Arts Clear Embossing powder<\/a>. She combined Tim Holtz Faded Type<\/a>, Dapper <\/a>and The Professor<\/a> stamps to build the background and put the Sizzix Wildflower Stems<\/a> into the smallest from Sizzix Bottled Up<\/a> die. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> was thinking about the first Earth Day 50 years ago, so her letter E stands for the Earth. Along with an older Tim Holtz die, she used Simon Says Stamp’s Stronger Together <\/a>stamp set, Simon’s Leaves stencil<\/a>, and Paper Artsy Infusions like In the Navy<\/a>, in her Dina Wakley Media Journal<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using the Stamperia Sea World Paper<\/a> on the background and embellished the “ENJOY THE JOURNEY” sentiment using Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Theories Quote Chips<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Sandra<\/a> was inspired by the color Emerald, it’s one of her favorite colors and she used a lot of different shades of green like Distress Ink Lucky Clover<\/a>, Mowed Lawn<\/a> and Pine Needles<\/a>, and used the reinker of Pine Needles<\/a> also to color the Texture Paste Transparent Gloss<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoey <\/a>used the “Embrace” as her leading word and she also used Embossing Powders<\/a> to add texture to this tag. She started playing with Distress Paint<\/a> and Distress Crayons<\/a> without anything planned in her mind, so she embraced whatever result came from her play!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
