This week we challenge you to use a small stamp, or use a stamp in some small way on your project. You could finish a project with a bit of stamping on an edge, use a tiny heart stamp, or perhaps you\u2019ve got some small stamp on a set that you\u2019ve yet to use. Now would be the time!<\/p>\n

Want to use stamps in a big way too? Well you could! Feel free to run the opposite direction and do a tiny bit of BIG stamping! It\u2019s all good – and we can\u2019t wait to see your stamped creations.<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> used tiny stamps and embellishments to make this small shadow box:<\/p>\n

I loved the idea of using tiny stamps and since they\u00a0can disappear on a large project I made a small shadow box, using the packaging of <\/em>Prima\u00a0wood\u00a0icons<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0The box was dyed with a mix of <\/em>walnut\u00a0ink<\/em><\/a>, and <\/em>tiny texture<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>word<\/em><\/a> and<\/em> flower<\/em><\/a> stamps were stamped on top. Small bird and house stamps from Hero Arts <\/em>My Favorite set<\/em><\/a> were stamped with\u00a0<\/em>Cerulean ink<\/em><\/a> and stamped with even smaller <\/em>sentiment stamps<\/em><\/a> The boxes were filled with <\/em>Prima<\/em><\/a>\u00a0embellishments distressed with <\/em>paint<\/em><\/a> and <\/em>embossing enamel<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>wood veneer shapes<\/em><\/a>, and\u00a0Stampendous <\/em>mica flakes and color fragments<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

“Go big or go home!”, is usually Anita<\/a>‘s feeling on most things, so tiny stamping proved to be somewhat of a challenge for her.<\/p>\n

I often find myself ignoring those tiny images on a stamp set, and nearly always go for the larger, so I really combed through my stash for this challenge searching for the mini stamps that really caught my eye. Finally, I ran across Tim’s new <\/em>Tiny Things Stamp Set<\/em><\/a>, and all of the images are mini, vintage, and just plain fabulous! I decided to use three of them to make the ‘time flies’ hanging in this altered <\/em>Idea-ology Assemblage Clock<\/em><\/a>, along with the perfect stamped saying from the <\/em>Way With Words Stamp Set<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sandra Mouwen<\/a>\u00a0played in her art journal with lots of color and with little text stamps.<\/p>\n

It was such a long time ago that I played in my art journal, and I had to give my <\/em>Gelli Plate<\/em><\/a> another go.\u00a0It’s always a surprise what you get, it’s always different when you play with it. This time I used 3 colors Distress Paints, <\/em>Broken China<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>Picked Raspberry<\/em><\/a> and <\/em>Mustard Seed<\/em><\/a>. These Distress Paints work beautifully\u00a0with the Gelli Plate. I used the positive and the negative of the <\/em>Bert stencil from Dyan Reavely<\/em><\/a>. For a little bit of stamping I used <\/em>Script<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>Dictionary Meanings<\/em><\/a> and <\/em>Cherish<\/em><\/a> stamps from Kaiser Craft.<\/em><\/p>\n

Dan<\/a> thought that Tim Holtz’s “Tiny Textures” stamp set lent itself perfectly to the “little stamping” theme.<\/p>\n

My first instinct with this week’s theme was to use some really big background stamps and cut them down into smaller pieces.\u00a0 As I looked through my stamp collection I came across the <\/em>Tiny Textures<\/em><\/a> set and realised that it was perfect for this theme.\u00a0 As you can see, I still cut them down into smaller tiles.\u00a0 The dapper gent from Wendy Vecchi’s <\/em>European Art<\/em><\/a> set is one of my favourite stamps and I had a lot of fun chopping him up into differently coloured sections!\u00a0 A couple of the panels were made with the <\/em>GelliArts printing plate<\/em><\/a> and I also used Wendy’s <\/em>All Bottled Up<\/em><\/a> stamp.<\/em><\/p>\n

When Suzz <\/a>thinks of little stamping she thinks of stamping in small spaces.<\/p>\n

I love using small stamps to add texture in the background or to draw the eye different directions in my design.\u00a0 This time I used the frames and sections provided by the <\/em>7 Gypsies Ticket Journal tags<\/em><\/a> to frame out the images in my tags. I decided to put the tags with sweet images from Artistic Outpost <\/em>Kudzu Kafe<\/em><\/a> into a tag pocket.\u00a0 I created the tag pocket by folding over a <\/em> manila tag <\/em><\/a> and adding a few stamped rulers from the <\/em>Measure Twice set<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Tracy<\/a> created a dimensional tag this week with lots of texture and a surprise element.<\/p>\n

This box tag was great fun to make adding wonderful dimension using the <\/em>Sized Ovals<\/em><\/a> die to create an aperture and I added lots of texture using <\/em>Wendy Vecchi’s White Embossing Paste<\/em><\/a> in conjunction with the Crafters Workshop Templates <\/em>Mini Letter Chaos<\/em><\/a> and <\/em>Mini Tile Texture<\/em><\/a> templates. I added bits of stamping using the text stamp from the <\/em>Stampers Anonymous Classics 9<\/em><\/a> adding a touch of stamping to the <\/em>Locket Book<\/em><\/a> too. I had great fun with this piece, challenging myself to only use a bit of stamping!<\/em><\/p>\n

Candy <\/a>really took the challenge literally this week when she created this small accordion domino book.<\/p>\n

I had so much fun with this small stamp challenge.\u00a0 What is smaller than <\/em>Tim Holtz’ Tiny Things<\/em><\/a> stamp set?\u00a0 I created this little vintage domino accordion book; each panel bearing a different image from Tiny Things; stamped with <\/em>Jet Black Archival Ink<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 They are colored using various <\/em>Distress Ink<\/em><\/a> colors and a <\/em>Tim Holtz Detailer Water Brush<\/em><\/a>. <\/em>Tim Holtz Chit Chat<\/em><\/a> provide some inspirational thoughts. The edges of the dominoes are covered with embossed <\/em>Metal Foil Sheets<\/em><\/a>. <\/em>Renaissance Treasure Gold<\/em><\/a> provides beautiful highlights to the edges of the pages and also the high areas of the embossed metal.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ashli’s<\/a>\u00a0birthday, so she used this opportunity to do a little stamping about herself.<\/p>\n

Yep! Today is my 35th birthday. What a perfect occasion to do a layout about me and my “now.” To get started, I grabbed the adorable Amy Tangerine\u00a0<\/em>Draft<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/em>Hey There<\/em><\/a>\u00a0Stamp Sets. Using the\u00a0<\/em>Zing Embossing Powder in Blue<\/em><\/a>, I placed those little images all about my page. Once I had my layers of\u00a0<\/em>Mint Julep 6×6 papers<\/em><\/a>\u00a0all in place, I used those little images and prompts for my journaling. This gave me a great way to document where I am today at the big 35! To finish things off, I simply added some\u00a0<\/em>Crate Paper Pinwheels<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/em>Chipboard stickers<\/em><\/a>. This is a fun layout now, and will be even more fun to look back on one day.<\/em><\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> loves to use small stamps on her project. This week she use some of them on the background of this layout.<\/p>\n

Small stamps always show beautiful details so I love to use them on my projects. On this layout, I sprayed <\/em>Color Shine<\/em><\/a> and stamped some small text and images using <\/em>Tim Holtz stamp<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>Stamendous clear stamp<\/em><\/a> and <\/em>7 gypsies cling stamp<\/em><\/a> on the background. This photo was taken on Natalie’s 10th birthday so I also stamped the date using <\/em><\/p>\n
