We\u2019re a bit early with this one, but the word play combined with getting a jump on fall decor and a new color palette has us eager! Team member Sandra dreamed this one – in her words \u201da challenge for Halloween. I love the word play, I love Kraft and I love Halloween<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

What magic will you work with kraft? Or will your project be more witchy? Whether themed or color based – you can hop on your broom and fly a lot of directions with this one\u2026<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made a layout with both kraft and witches.

\nMy son made up a story about tiny witches that have a school not far from his own, which is what this layout is about. I made the school with the Rickety House <\/a>die, Distress Paint <\/a>and stamps<\/a>. The witches<\/a> were stamped and cut out and I also used the Halloween Shadows <\/a>die to add the little witches to the page, die cut from kraft-core cardstock<\/a>. The background is Motif cardstock<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ashli<\/a> is not big on witches, but she does love some kraft!<\/p>\n

My favorite thing about Kraft<\/a> is the lovely ton-on-tone effects that can be achieved. Drawing inspiration from a class I recently took with our fearless leader, May<\/a>, I decided to play with the tone-on-tone look of some paper rolls. To add even more depth, I stamped some lovely Dear Lizzy<\/a> stamps using Simon’s Khaki ink<\/a>. The beautiful white of the Signo Pen<\/a> completes this fun page!<\/em><\/p>\n

Emma<\/a> had so much fun creating the first of many Halloween projects for 2014.<\/p>\n

As soon as I saw the new Halloween stamp releases from Tim Holtz, they went straight to the top of my “must-have” list and just knew that I wanted to combine the Halftone Halloween set <\/a>with the Halloween Blueprint 2 set<\/a> from last year to create my first Halloween project. I added the stamped images against a background created with Black Soot<\/a>, Brushed Pewter<\/a> and Pumice Stone<\/a> Distress Stains and then completed my fun card with a die cut Pediment<\/a> and Cross Bone Adornment<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Witch Kraft? Or Which Craft? Michelle<\/a> combined several crafts to create a mixed media scrapbook layout.<\/p>\n

Which Craft? Why Choose? Stamping, Scrapbooking and Needlework are all fun! The inspiring cardstock sentiment sticker <\/a>from Glitz Design sets the tone for this unusual vintage photo. Grunge circles <\/a>that are stamped on vellum and stitched to the background float around a watercolored Sizzix bee<\/a> that has been die cut and embossed.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mona<\/a> was inspired to get crafty with a Kraft tag.<\/p>\n

I LOVE anything Kraft and when you combine a Kraft tag<\/a> with a Postcard texture fade<\/a> along with a hint of picket fence paint<\/a>, you get magic! Embellished with several Kraft Glassine<\/a> flowers makes for a wonderful multi Kraft toned project.<\/em><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> honed in on the “witch” part of the theme by making a witch-approved Halloween necklace.<\/p>\n

Thinking of witches this week, I was reminded of my childhood witch costume. My mom made me the dress and hat and I even had a plastic broom. Unfortunately, my older brother and I got into a fight over the broom and broke it in half. But I loved it so much that I kept it for years even though it had a huge wad of duct tape around the broken part. This challenge theme took me back to my witchy roots, so I made a bold Halloween necklace that any witch would be proud to wear. I love to incorporate Tim Holtz embellishments into jewelry, such as the pocket watch<\/a>, corked vials<\/a> and metal tag labels<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Kraft had Suzz<\/a> looking around her craft supplies for a neutral kraft inspired palette.<\/p>\n

My pretty little gift bag came together so easily this week. I had quite a mess going on my desk which helped me grab a few items to put together my art. I had the Stampers Anonymous Winged Things , <\/a>a previously cut Memory Box Stained Glass die cut<\/a>, and a inky background scrap created with Tattered Angels Valencia<\/a>, and Party Pink <\/a>. Having these pieces helped me use up a few odds and ends and kept me focused so I was able to create something quickly.<\/em>
\nMeihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a kraft Halloween tag this week.<\/p>\n

I decided to create a Halloween tag with some non-traditional color scheme and embellishments this week. The background of this kraft tag was colored with Tim Holtz Mini Distress Inks<\/a>. After stamping the image with Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp Poison Sketch<\/a> and Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red Dye Ink<\/a>, I decorated the tag with some Prima Flowers and Resion Icons<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

I (May<\/a>) got krafty and used both of the words in my project.<\/p>\n

Which direction should I take this? how crafty can I be? I went wild with my favorite Halloween texture folder<\/a> and some foil cardstock <\/a>and created this bewitched card. With some kraft colored word stickers<\/a>, of course! It was so fun to embrace my inner mad scientist and just go wild with all kinds of color mediums and texture possibilities. I love how this card turned out, and I’ll be creating more with texture folders in the near future for sure.<\/p>\n
