It’s rare that we indulge in one of these – so take advantage! It’s an anything goes, no rules, just create kind of week! GO!<\/p>\n

Mona<\/a> was inspired to get inky and create a mixed media greeting card.<\/p>\n

Creating mixed media greeting cards isn’t something I do regularly so I challenged myself to do just that. I created lots of texture on the background using texture paste<\/a> along with the Latticework stencil<\/a>. I had fun adding splashes of various color including broken china<\/a> and vintage photo<\/a>. For the sentiment I used chit chat stickers<\/a> and embellished with a trio of roses<\/a> along with many more items.<\/em><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> was inspired by cute babies this week.<\/p>\n

On the universe’s “Cute-O-Meter,” babies are right up there in the top one percentile! I decided to see what I could do with a traditional white Onesie and some fabric-safe ink from Memento Luxe. I created a design using the Simon Says Stamp Scribble Flowers<\/a> stamp set, the Simon Says Stamp Ring Cluster stencil<\/a>, and the American Crafts\/Amy Tangerine Document alphabet stamps<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> had lot of fun playing with her new Prima dies to make a card for this Anything Goes week.<\/p>\n

I had to use these Prima Flowers Doily Metal Die<\/a> and Prima Flowers Leaves Metal Die<\/a> once I received them because they are so beautiful. On the background of this card, I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink<\/a>. The sentiment was stamped using Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Simple Sayings<\/a> stamps and Memento Black ink<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Suzz<\/a> decided to play with a multi-textured background.<\/p>\n

What do you get when you mix Tim Holtz Tissue Tape<\/a>, Paper Artsy Nougat Fresco Finish Chalk Paint, <\/a>PaperArtsy Mocha Mousse Fresco Finish Chalk Paint<\/a>, Ranger Paint Dabber – Gold <\/a>and Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste (white) <\/a> together? A background of beautiful layers of color and texture. That had me thinking of nature and discovering new places which I incorporated in my card.<\/em><\/p>\n

Michelle<\/a> re-visited a paper crafting classic.<\/p>\n

Remember the good-ole days when recipes came from books? I love the Simon Says Stamp Bookmark It Die<\/a>. It’s sweetly curved shape creates fun bookmarks in seconds. The Waffle Flower Loved Set <\/a>adds floral fun, while the Retro Kitchen Set Embossing Folder<\/a> lends it kitschy-kitchen charm.<\/em><\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made a happy little journal page.

\nI was inspired to use some of the new Simon Says Stamp Exclusive <\/a>stamps, dies and stencils to create a little page in memory of childhood summer camping trips. The Waves stencil <\/a>also looked a little like hills to me and I liked the green hills made with the stencil and White Embossing Paste<\/a>. The rest of the scene was created with stamps and dies<\/a>, adding some fun ice cream cone <\/a>trees.<\/em><\/p>\n

A fellow team member served as Ashli’s<\/a> inspiration this week…<\/p>\n

Suzz<\/a> makes the most lovely tags! So layered and full of goodness… I was inspired to try my hand at some layered Tags<\/a> this week as well. I wasn’t sure what the final project would be, but I ended up putting them to use on a scrapbook page. I had more fun layering up bits of Basic Grey Fresh Cut<\/a> papers along with some Crate Oh Darling Chipboard<\/a> shapes to create the layered embellishments. Perfect for my layout!<\/em><\/p>\n

Sandra Mouwen<\/a> spent almost her whole summer vacation making this travel album

\nI never spent so much time on a project! But I love making albums and this one is no exception! Every page is different but in the same style and I love that. I think there are about 200 pictures inside of it. This time I journaled alot too. The paper I used is Accomplished<\/a> from Authentique, and I had so much fun experimenting with new techniques like printing with an inkjet printer on Black Cardstock<\/a> and make the letters visible with Heirloom Perfect Pearls<\/a> powder.<\/em><\/p>\n

Emma’s<\/a> garden inspired her to create a mini album to fill with photos and notes.<\/p>\n

I adore my garden and over the years, I’ve taken a huge amount of photos and decided that now was the time to journal some of those photos that I’d taken. So, I created my own mini album using chipboard <\/a>covered with burlap paper<\/a>. As my focal point, I couldn’t resist using Tim Holtz’s gorgeous Layered Bee <\/a>and surrounded this beautiful image with various pieces of Idea-Ology<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

I (May<\/a>) seem to be getting ahead of my seasons.<\/p>\n

But when you have such great stamps – who can help it? I enjoyed playing with distress ink<\/a> and the new Tim Holtz Halloween stamps<\/a> and ended up creating two cards. Not bad for what began as a creative session just messing around and testing out new ideas!<\/p>\n
