Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for joining us for the Midsummer Blues Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week we would like you to make an <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artist Trading Card <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Definition:Artist trading cards<\/strong> (ATCs<\/strong>) is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. V\u00e4n\u00e7i Stirnemann<\/a> in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance<\/em>. Artist trading cards are 2 1<\/sup>\u20442<\/sub> by 3 1<\/sup>\u20442<\/sub> inches (64 mm \u00d7 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards<\/a> (hockey cards<\/a> or baseball cards<\/a>). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist\/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alison<\/a> likes fitting as many mixed media goodies as possible onto an ATC, so she had great fun using the Idea-ology Snippets<\/a> and Chitchat Stickers<\/a>, the Tim Holtz Wildflower Thinlits<\/a> and Trellis Stencil<\/a>, with Crackle Paste<\/a>, rusty wire, Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics<\/a>, and Distress Inks<\/a> to provide a setting for her real lavender stems and Transparent Wings butterfly<\/a>.  Check out all the tiny details over at Words & Pictures<\/a>

Andrea<\/a> made this collection of ATC’s using Waffle Flower’s ATC Layers dies<\/a>, an In Orbit stencil<\/a> from Creative Expressions and some bright grungy Graffiti paper<\/a> from Ella and Viv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> enjoys working on the small space of an ATC and made two vintage flower themed ATCs. She used Tim Holtz’s Mixed Media 5 die set <\/a>to create the background, and embellished the cards with Clippings Stickers<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a> had much fun creating four Atcs with the new Tim Holtz dies Regions beyond<\/a>, Frightful things<\/a>. She used a lot of Tim Holtz Ranger Ink Distress Oxide products<\/a>, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Mini stencils set 17 <\/a>and Idea-ology Halloween Remnant Rubs<\/a>.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheiron <\/a>created a trio of ATCs with the Tim Holtz  Abandoned Paper Stash<\/a> as her background. She added Halloween Paper Dolls<\/a>, Halloween Quote Chips<\/a> and stickers to each, and gave each of her characters a mask using the Tim Holtz\/Sizzix Thinlits Masquerade<\/a> die. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma’s<\/a> thoughts turned to Halloween and she created a trio of ATCs using Tim Holtz’s Monster Reunion Stamp Set by Stampers Anonymous<\/a>, which she displayed on Mini Mason Jars<\/a> Votive Luminaries, complete with Mummy Cloth<\/a> wraps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kath<\/a> created a trio of ATC’s using Tim Holtz\/Stampers Anonymous Label Frames<\/a> and Tiny Toadstools<\/a> and used them to decorate a set of notecards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macarena<\/a> made a couple of ATC with colorful details using Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks<\/a> on Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Cardstock<\/a> . She added big words from Tim Holtz Sizzix Mixed Media 6 dies<\/a> and Tim Holtz The Professor<\/a> stamp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> made a quartet of patchwork ATC’s using Stamperia’s Patchwork Papers<\/a> along with Simon Says Stamp’s Waves stencil<\/a>, and Emerald Creek’s Vintage Beeswax Baked Texture embossing powder.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create four ATCs using Ranger Mini Archival Ink Pads Set<\/a> on the background and Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Eclectic Adverts<\/a> to decorate these artist trading cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra <\/a>made her first Halloween project of this year, and for this ATC she used Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade<\/a>, Rusty Hinge<\/a> and Black Soot<\/a> to create the background and made the lady of the Fairy Garden Moulds<\/a> into a creepy creature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
