Don’t Be Fooled Be Foiled!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As this is April Fools Day we thought we would have some fun with a play on words! Foiling is very ‘en trend’ at the moment and there are so many texchniques that we can use to apply foil to our creations!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it is the first week of the month we are showcasing a particular company and this week we are all using some fabulous Gina K Designs Products<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp<\/a> are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! <\/a>All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week\u2019s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we are welcoming the super talented Sabrina <\/a>aka It’s Time To Create-My Mixed Media Corner <\/a>into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven\u2019t visited her blog you are in for a real treat! Please pop by to say \u2018Hi\u2019 :-)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sabrina<\/a> \u00a0 made a stunning card, with an amazing foil background, and a beautiful sentiment. She used Gina K Designs Brilliant Blue Holographic Fancy Foils Deco Foil<\/a>,\u00a0Stars and Stripes Foil-Mates Sheets<\/a>, and True Friend Sentiments Foil-Mates Sheets.<\/a>\u00a0The foliage was die cut with Tim Holtz Sizzix Garden Greens<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea<\/a> added some foil flair to her duo of tags.  She used Gina K. Designs’ Decorative Tags<\/a> die set and Therm O Web Rose Gold Deco Foil<\/a>.  The patterns she added foil to are from Dina Wakley’s Text and Scribbles<\/a> stamp set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made a set of two cards and a bookmark, using the beautiful Gina K Watercolor Flowers set<\/a>. The cards were embellished with Crystalline Drops<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbara <\/a>couldn’t resist to use Gina K Designs Making Waves stencil<\/a> to create her background for The Professor Stamp by Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous<\/a>! She used Ranger Frozen Shiny Transfer Foil Sheets<\/a> over on the waves and  tentacles stamp from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Sea life set.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheiron<\/a> created a foil striped background paper for her card using the Gina K Designs Ornamental Holiday Foil Mates<\/a> and the Thermo Web Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheets<\/a> along with the Royal Sovereign 12 Inch Laminator Machine<\/a>.  She cut the paper to use as one of her circles with  The Stamp Market Circle Card Cover<\/a> and Hey<\/a> dies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma<\/a> used a Tim Holtz Etcetera Tag<\/a> as a base for her vintage style project and used Gina K Designs Wild Dandelion Deco Foil<\/a> to add some subtle, shimmery accents to accentuate the Grit Paste<\/a> that she applied through the Gina K Designs Foliage Art Stencil<\/a> layered over the top of Memoranda Stash<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kath<\/a> decorated a Wall Panel and added Gina K Designs Dazzling Orange Deco Foil<\/a> accents to the Distress Oxide Sprays<\/a> background and Idea-logy Transparent Wings<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macarena<\/a> made a vintage layered card using Tim Holtz Inventor 2<\/a> and Entomology<\/a> stamps with Gina K Therm O Web Fancy Foils<\/a> and Dark Chocolate Embossing Powder<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> has been foiling Tim Holtz Butterflies<\/a> with Gina K foils in Jelly Bean Green<\/a>, Wild Dandelion<\/a>, and several other colors in her art journal, while dreaming of spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Translucent Alcohol Ink Yupo Paper <\/a>on the background and decorated it with Thermo Web Gina K Design Sweet Mango Fancy Foils<\/a> and Sizzix Geo Springtime Thinlits Die<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra<\/a> made a card using Gina K Designs Rose Gold Embossing powder<\/a> and Rose Gold Foil<\/a> as some of the accents of her background, she also used Nuvo Shimmer Powder in Solar Flare<\/a> and Catherine Wheel<\/a> to add some color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
