This is Lisa’s<\/a> last week with us in the Designer Spotlight and we would like to say a huge thank you for all of your creations over the past month. It has been a real pleasure having you along with us :-)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lisa <\/a>created a big mixed media tag, using a piece of Canson XL Watercolor Paper<\/a>. She glued on it a piece of Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Melange Tissue Wrap<\/a>\u00a0and brushed a light coat of white gesso. She made some stencil and used 49 and Market Script Squared Clear Stamp<\/a> with archival black ink.Then she used new Art Alchemy Colors (True Yellow<\/a>,\u00a0Emerald<\/a> and Deep Turquoise<\/a>) to color the background. Finally, she created a sweet butterfly using Tim Holtz Sizzix Detailed Butterflies<\/a> and Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Pen Nibs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrea<\/a> made a paint-covered tag book featuring a “You are Beautiful” sentiment from Crate Paper’s All Heart<\/a> stamp set.  She made a plaid design in the background using The Stamp Market’s Criss Cross<\/a> stamp and constructed the whole thing on a black Dylusions #12 tag<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna-Karin<\/a> made a scrapbooking page about a childhood story, of a lost book. She used Distress Paint<\/a> and Tim Holtz Gradient Dot stencil<\/a> for the background. The animals were stamped with Tim’s On The Farm<\/a> set, and were the perfect illustrations to this story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbara<\/a> had much fun to create backgrounds with Ranger Gel Printing Plate<\/a>  and Distress oxides<\/a>! for these two tags she used Tim Holtz Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1<\/a> and Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Butterfly Bigz<\/a> mixed with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Halftone<\/a> and Tim Holtz Stencil Mini set 34<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emma<\/a> is never happier than when she’s surrounded by her beloved paints and she created an art panel<\/a> inspired by a Picasso quote, which focuses on The Professor<\/a> and his art supplies. She used various colours of Distress Paints to create her background, to alter her metal embellishments and  then water-coloured the image with Distress Marker Pens<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kath<\/a> was inspired by the arrival of Spring and decorated a Medium Etcetera Tag<\/a> using Tim Holtz Layering Stencils<\/a>, Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1<\/a> Thinlits, Idea-ology Stencil Chips<\/a> and, of course, Distress Paints<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lols <\/a>made a set of cards using a new Tim Holtz Funny Farm Cling Stamp Set<\/a>. For the background she used a Gelli Printing Plate<\/a>, Mowed Lawn<\/a> and Wild Honey<\/a> Distress Paint and a new Simon’s Exclusive Triangle Blast Stencil <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Macarena<\/a> made a soft shabby spring calling card using for the background the Prima Marketing Irist Tapestry<\/a> stencil with Metallique Dark Velvet paint<\/a>. She cut out the Tim Holtz Sizzix Layered Butterfly and added a Tim Holtz Sizzix Wildflower Stems<\/a> flower. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maura<\/a> played with her watercolors and made a duo of card, using Brutus Monroe Aqua Pigments in Blue Violet<\/a>, Blue<\/a>, Blue-Green<\/a> and Gilded Metallic<\/a>, along with her Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Tim Holtz Distress Paints<\/a> and Daniel Smith Watercolor Paints<\/a>, and decorated it with Sizzix Geo Spring Time Thinlits Die<\/a> and Prima Marketing Dark Romance Midnight Garden Flowers<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandra<\/a> played with Opal Magic Paints<\/a> for her first layer of her card, she used Blue-Gold<\/a>, Rose-Gold<\/a>, Yellow-Pink<\/a> and Green-Gold<\/a>. And after applying Infusions <\/a>and Nuvo Shimmer Powder<\/a> for more color she added Distress Black Soot Paint<\/a> in opposite corners to create more depth and contrast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoey<\/a> used Distress Paint ( Antique Linen<\/a> , Black Soot<\/a> , Picket Fence<\/a> , Gathered Twigs<\/a> , Old Paper<\/a> , Frayed Burlap<\/a> , Vintage Photo<\/a> ) to create this Vintage Background. She also used Tim Holtz Idea-ology JOURNEY Design Tape Paperie<\/a> , Tim Holtz Idea-ology INDEX CLIPS Fasteners<\/a> , Tim Holtz Idea-ology Ephemera Pack EXPEDITION <\/a>and Tim Holtz Idea-ology PHOTOBOOTH<\/a> to decorate this Tag!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
