Hi all and welcome to another week on the\u00a0Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n

Thank you for joining us for the Take Flight Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.<\/p>\n

This week we are challenging you to take out your inks, stencils, embossing folders etc and<\/p>\n

Make Your Own Background<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

There are so many fabulous techniques for making your own backgrounds! We can’t wait to see what you use!<\/p>\n

As it is the first Monday of the month we are showcasing a particular company and this time we’re all using some fabulous prodcts from the Carabelle Studio<\/a><\/strong>! You don’t have to use them to join in, but if you happen to have some in your drawers then please take them out and give them an airing!<\/p>\n

Jo\u00a0<\/a>“To\u00a0showcase the beautiful flowers which are stamped using the\u00a0<\/span>Carabelle Studio Fleurs Dalex Cling Stamp Set<\/a>\u00a0and coloured using\u00a0<\/span>Spectrum Aqua Markers<\/a>, Jo had fun creating her own background using\u00a0<\/span>Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi<\/a>\u00a0watercolour paints,\u00a0<\/span>Tim Holtz Distress Inks<\/a>\u00a0as well as a stencil and a stamp, also by\u00a0<\/span>Carabelle Studio<\/a>.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> made three tree ATC’s using Carabelle Studio’s Ronds<\/a> art printing texture plate and Stitched Mixed Media<\/a> stamp for the background.\u00a0 She added some snow using Simon Says Stamp’s Falling Snow<\/a> stencil.<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a>\u00a0created a forest-inspired wrapped journal this week. She used the Carabelle Studio Bulles stencil<\/a> for the textured background, and the sweet Ecureuil stamp<\/a> for the squirrel.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

<\/a>Barbara<\/a> created the background of this card using Carabelle Studio Grand Cercles Embossing Folder<\/a>. For the focal point\u00a0 she chose Tim Holtz Sizzix Ice Flake<\/a> and she painted it with Distress Oxides<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Cheiron<\/a>\u00a0used the Carabelle Studio The Sun<\/a> stencil and Distress Paints to create her background. She finished her card with Tim Holtz Sizzx Shadow Script 1<\/a> dies and a sentiment made from a Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas Remnant Rub<\/a> finished with a few enamel dots.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0used the Carabelle Studio Constellation Stencil<\/a> to create a background on her vintage style layered Etcetera Tag. As a focal point she used Tim Holtz’s Inventor Stamp 6<\/a>\u00a0together with a Christmas Ephemera<\/a> piece, die cut\u00a0Holiday Greens<\/a> and a frosty icicle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kath\u00a0<\/a>created the backgrounds for her set of Festive and Funky Christmas cards using her Ranger Gel Plate<\/a> and Carabelle Studio Abstract Flowers<\/a> and Ronds<\/a> Texture Plates and added Tim Holtz\/Stampers Anonymous Mini Weathered Winter<\/a> snowflakes and die cuts using Tim Holtz\/Sizzix Home For The Holidays<\/a> and Snowglobe 2<\/a> Thinlits<\/p>\n

Lols\u00a0<\/a>made a Christmas card using a Bonhomme De Neige Cling Stamp<\/a> and Distress Oxide Inks<\/a> for the background.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Macarena<\/a> stays in an Autumn mood making this Birthday rusty card using the Carabelle Studio Texte Grunge<\/a> embossing folder colored with Distress Oxide Inks. For the main panel she used Tim Holtz Sizzix Scroll Bigz<\/a> die rusted with Viva Decor Rusty Paper<\/a> paint.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Maura <\/a>\u00a0loves to make her own backgrounds and had lots of fun creating her art journal page with Carabelle Studio’s Pattern 1930 stencil<\/a>, Gypsy Caravan Art Printing Texture Plate<\/a>, Birgit Koopsen’s Mixed Media Strips stamps<\/a> and a 6×6 gel plate<\/a>. She even made her own washi tape.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Carabelle Studio Papillons Embossing Folder<\/a>\u00a0for the background and Prima Marketing Fall Pine Leaf Embellishments<\/a>\u00a0to decorate the tag.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sandra <\/a>love making her own backgrounds and she made one using Distress Oxides Ripe Persimmon<\/a>, Frayed Burlap<\/a> and V<\/a>intage Photo, and made it more interesting by stamping with the Carabelle Mixed Media Strips<\/a> and adding texture with Texture Paste<\/a>, Metallique Paint Steampunk Copper<\/a> and Carabelle Degrade De Points stencil<\/a>.
