Hi all and welcome to another week on the\u00a0Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge<\/a><\/p>\n

Thank you for joining us for the Food and Drink Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.<\/p>\n

This week we are celebrating Independence Day with the theme:<\/p>\n

Red,<\/span> White<\/span> <\/b>and\/or<\/span> Blue<\/span>\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

It is the first week of the month and that means we are showcasing a particular brand\/company. This week we are all using products from the fabulous Darkroom Door Company<\/a>! If you don’t have any of their products, yet, that’s OK, you can still join in with the challenge but if you have some then please use them!<\/p>\n

The lovely folks over at<\/span>\u00a0Simon Says Stamp<\/span><\/a>\u00a0are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the \u00a0<\/span>Simon Says Stamp Store!\u00a0<\/span><\/a>All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week\u2019s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of this post! This week we are welcoming the lovely and super talented Karolina Bukowska<\/a> into the Designer Spotlight. If you haven’t visited Karolina’s blog<\/a> before then you are in for a real treat! Please pop by and give her a warm welcome :-)<\/p>\n

Karolina\u00a0<\/a>created a\u00a0white and blue canvas. She used a Prima Santorini Paper Pack<\/a> and used Graphite Sand<\/a>\u00a0and Art Stones<\/a> to add texture. She used Prima Acrylic Paints<\/a> and a variety of Prima Flowers<\/a> and embellishments<\/a> to finish. Karolina has made a video of how she made this on her blog, please pop over to see it!<\/span><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> made some ATC’s in shades of blue.\u00a0 She used Darkroom Door’s Large Mesh Stencil<\/a>, Seth Apter’s Strands dies<\/a> and Dina Wakley’s Abstract Figures<\/a> stamp set.<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a>\u00a0made a summer tag using the stunning Darkroom Door Tropical Birds set<\/a>, together with Ranger Distress Inks<\/a> and SSS Moonshine Sequins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/a> has created her project to celebrate\u00a0 July 4th. She used for the background Darkroom Door Arty Circles stencil<\/a>\u00a0 with\u00a0\u00a0Ranger Texture paste Opaque Crackle<\/a>. To complete her Mini Framed Panel\u00a0<\/a> she\u00a0 used also\u00a0\u00a0Idea-ology Paper Dolls<\/a>, Faded jeans<\/a> and\u00a0<\/a>Blueprint sketch<\/a> Distress oxides.<\/p>\n

Cheiron<\/a> is celebrating the Independence Day with a card honoring all of the people who have come to America with a dream. She used the Darkroom Door Arty Triangles stencil<\/a> along with some Tim Holtz Alcohol Lift Ink reinker<\/a> to create a funky pattern on her background. She layered it with lots of Idea-ology: Paper Dolls<\/a>, Quote Chips<\/a> and a Quote Token<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0is celebrating July 4th! She used the Darkroom Door Starry Night Stencil<\/a> to create a background full of red, white and blue stars and combined this with the\u00a0Tim Holtz Rosette Die,<\/a> the Americana Thinlits die<\/a> and the Shadow Script 1 die<\/a>\u00a0to build up the layers and scene on her tag.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Kath\u00a0<\/a>created an Art Journal page using Coffee Time<\/a>, a favourite Darkroom Door stamp set with Tim Holtz\/Stampers Anonymous Inventor 1<\/a> and Idea-ology Remnants<\/a> and French<\/a> Design Tape<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Lols\u00a0<\/a>made a trio of Andy Warhol inspired cards using a Darkroom Door\u00a0Sitting Cat Cling Stamp<\/a> and a Small Circles Stencil<\/a>.\u00a0She used Candied Apple<\/a> and Faded Jeans<\/a> Distress Oxide Inks and simply used the stencil to emboss the design for the white card. Leaving the stencil in place she used a text background stamp<\/a> and a Smoke Ink Pad<\/a> to stamp through the holes. She used a Dot Fade Stencil<\/a> and White Embossing Paste<\/a> to add some texture and then added Washi Tape<\/a> and purrfectly feline Snarky Sentiments<\/a>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Macarena<\/a>\u00a0decided to join her crafty US friends’ celebration\u00a0and made this commemorative card for the Independence Day using as a background the Darkroom Door Mesh Stencil<\/a>. She used the Tim Holtz Sizzix Layered Butterfly die<\/a> as her main panel and behind she covered another one made with the beautiful Tim Holtz Sizzix Botanical 3D<\/a> embossing folder.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Maura<\/a>\u00a0headed to her art journal, reminiscing about friends she’s made on her travels. She used the Darkroom Door Quote Stamp Along the Way<\/a> \u00a0with the Darkroom Door Farm Truck<\/a>, and added a compass for direction using Aall and Create’s Stencil 8<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Darkroom Door Cling Stamp Sitting Cat<\/a>\u00a0and added sentiments with Idea-Ology Snarky Small Talk Stickers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sandra <\/a>went for soft colors in her card, she used the Swirls\/Flourish stamp<\/a> from Darkroom Door<\/a>\u00a0and Distress Ink Faded Jeans<\/a> and Fired Brick<\/a> to add red and blue.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Zoey<\/a>\u00a0used Tim Holtz Distress Paint\u00a0Chipped Sapphire<\/a>, Blueprint Sketch<\/a>\u00a0, Barn Door<\/a> and Fired Brick<\/a>\u00a0to add color to this tag, then she used her favorite stamps from Darkroom Door Corrugated Iron Texture<\/a> and Postage Stamps Texture<\/a>.<\/p>\n
