This week we are challenging you to use a stencil on your project<\/p>\n

Alison<\/a>\u00a0played with her Tim Holtz Layering Stencils<\/a> to alter the outside of one of her art journals.\u00a0 Lots of different media went through the stencils – Distress Inks<\/a> with Embossing Powder, PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic Paints<\/a>, and some Prima Marketing Plaster Paste<\/a>.\u00a0 It’s finished off with some Quote Chips<\/a> to encourage more journalling adventures.\u00a0 It’s worth a trip over to her Words and Pictures Blog<\/a>, to see the full spread of front and back covers together.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andrea<\/a> used\u00a0embossing paste<\/a> and stencils (American Crafts’ All the Good Things<\/a> and Altenew’s Halftone<\/a>) to add texture to her tags.\u00a0 She added some birds from AALL & Create’s Quirky Birds<\/a> stamp set for a whimsical touch.<\/p>\n

Anna-Karin<\/a>\u00a0made an art journal page using stencils together with Paper Artsy’s Infusions<\/a>. The main stencil is Finding Your Tribe<\/a> by Carolyn Dube \/ StencilGirl and she also used the Starlight Mini<\/a> stencil.<\/p>\n

Barbara<\/a> has created a sea theme canvas using Tim Holtz Stencil Dotted<\/a> and Stone<\/a>, Idea-ology Found relatives<\/a> , Tim Holtz Satmpers Anonymous Mail Art<\/a>\u00a0and Sizzix Mixed Media 3<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Cheiron<\/a>\u00a0created a tag using some of her favorite colors and Tim Holtz’s Stitches<\/a> and Roses<\/a> Layering Stencils to create a fun background. She added a Paper Doll<\/a> and a sentiment she made combining Tim Holtz Sizzix Shadow Script 3<\/a> dies and Clippings<\/a> stickers.<\/p>\n

Emma<\/a>\u00a0designed a vacation themed project and has used Tim Holtz’s\u00a0Speckles<\/a> and Dotted<\/a>\u00a0Layering Stencils<\/span>\u00a0to create a stencilled background on her Etcetera tag<\/a>. She decorated the tag using the Seashells die<\/a> and added a Paper Doll<\/a> to complete the scene.<\/p>\n

Kath\u00a0<\/a>used Tim Holtz Trellis Layering Stencil<\/a> and Mini Layering Stencils from Set 20<\/a> and Set 22<\/a> to decorate the background and Tim Holtz\/Sizzix Feather Duo<\/a> and Butterfly Duo<\/a> chipboard die cuts on her Summer Garden Canvas.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Lols\u00a0<\/a>made a springtime card featuring Simon’s Exclusive new Stitching Butterflies Die Set. <\/a>For the background she used Tim Holtz Cargo<\/a>, Floral<\/a> and Dot Fade<\/a> Layering Stencils along with Distress Inks<\/a> and White Embossing Paste<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Macarena\u00a0<\/a>went into the whole background stencil and built it with TCW Mini Woven stencil and Mother of Pearl Nuvo Mousse<\/a>. For the focal point she chose Sizzix Layered Butterfly<\/a> die and colored it with Distress Oxide Inks<\/a>. She added some Idea-ology metal details like Pen Nibs<\/a> and a cute Index Clips<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maura<\/a>\u00a0made a Thinking of You card with Simon Says Stamp’s Beautiful Day set<\/a> and Butterflies stencil<\/a>, along with some Distress Oxide inks such as Mermaid Lagoon<\/a> and Picked Raspberry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Meihsia<\/a> created an art journal page with stenciled background using Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 3<\/a>\u00a0and decorated it with Idea-Ology Quote Token<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sandra<\/a> loves using stencils for her projects, like the Tiles stencil<\/a> is one of her favorite, and she used that one with Texture Paste<\/a>. Another favorite is the School House stencil<\/a> regular size and the small one<\/a>\u00a0that comes in a set, both she used with Distress Paint Black Soot<\/a>.

Zoey<\/a>\u00a0used The Crafter’s Workshop Small Brick<\/a>\u00a0to create a background for her tag. She also used Tim Holtz Idea Ology Paper Dolls<\/a> and Finetec Mica Watercolor Pearlescent<\/a>\u00a0to color it<\/p>\n
